Sworn Saviour

~This contains spoilers for Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc Chapter 1, 2 and 3~

"This trial will be very interesting! With the return of Kuwata, lets see what ya kiddos think about today's trial!"

Monokuma's voice is hella squeaky.

I looked over at Leon. He looked so tense. I wish there was a way I could convince everyone that he shouldn't be executed again...

"Kuwata should still die for what he did!" Aoi screamed. "Why didn't you execute him again, Monokuma?!"

"Hey, hey! Quit nagging me! Do I have to go over this again? Sayaka deserved to die! Not me! Her! All in self defence, 'kay?" Leon shot back.

"I agree! You all said we would get outta this place together, but you guys voted for Kuwata, didn' t you?! Shame on you!"

That wasn't enough to shut them up.

"All in favour of voting Kuwata guilty again, raise your hand!"

"Woah woah woah! Calm down!" I said. They're dumb aren't they! "Kuwata is not guilty of this murder! If we vote wrong, Fujisaki's killer wins and we all die! Executed! Gone!"

Finally! The whole group fell silent about Leon. I looked back towards him. He seemed a bit loosened up...

"Thank you," he mouthed, and smiled.

~an hour of debating passes.~

"Alright, folks! Time for votin! Though, I think this may be a unanimous vote!"

I didn't want to vote at all. Honest. But I was forced to. My vote wouldnt have changed anything anyway.

We all stared as the next blackened was put in chains. And we couldn't do anything to help. It sucked.

" I'm sorry Owadans..."

I looked at everyone elses faces. Another person gone.

I fucking wish I could tell them that Owada isn't gone forever.

I feel like it's the right decision, y'know? Owada's execution was WAY worse than mine. Then I can tell him all of this and he better be grateful that he's alive.

We didn't actually use Owada for his execution. We made a model of him. Smart huh? I came up with that! He wasn't made into butter like expected. It was just good old fashioned butter.

It sucks that I couldn't save everyone. Especially Taka. He'd grown really close to Mondo over the past few days. I just wanted him to know that Mondo was waiting for him. But all I could do is sit and watch as a motorbike spun in circles.

"Shut up, readhead hedgehog! We agreed one save and one save only!"
"Aww, cmon, Junko! Taka's heartbroken! He deserves to know that Mondo is alive and well!"
She narrowed her eyes at me. Sheesh, really that bad?
"Imagine someone took you from your best friend! How would you feel?!"
She sighed. Was she going to...

"FINE. ONE MORE EXCEPTION! BUT ANY MORE AND THATS THE END OF YOU, KUWATA!"

YES!! I could save Taka AND Mondo now! I hugged her out of happiness. Awkward, I know, yada-yada. Instinct! Instinct, okay?!

"Kuwata-"
"No. Don't take that away."
"I was gonna ask if you would get off me, ya weirdo."
"Sorry! Sorry," I said, letting go of her.

"YOU'RE HELPING THE MASTERMIND?! THATS FUCKING BULLSHIT!!"
"CALM DOWN, OWADA!! AREN'T YOU GRATEFUL THAT I SAVED YOU??"
"...But what about-"
"-Taka? I'm saving him too. Though it's risky. Never know when someone wants to challenge the motives.."
Mondo stared at me.
And smiled.
