Hours had passed and the day soon turned to night, everyone was in the mess hall, eating dinner. The counselors spreading themselves across two tables while the middle schoolers took up the remainder of the tables in the hall.

Stu kicked Bobby under the table which caused Bobby to hiss at him in pain. "Go sneak out to Ned's office and get us our stash back." Bobby sighed and kicked him back. "No way. If you want your drugs, go get them yourself." Stu tutted under his breath and leaned back, glaring at him. Cain darted his eyes over at the other table and leaned over to where Bobby and Stu were sitting. "I can get 'em for ya." Cain said, while staring down Stu, grinning from ear to ear. Bobby's eyes locked onto him and sighed. "You don't have to." "No no, I will. As long as you come with." Cain ripped his eyes away from Stu and looked at Bobby, cocking his head innocently.

Bobby looked away from both Cain and Stu and there was now an awkward atmosphere around them that you could cut with a knife. Bobby often heard rumours around school about Cain being somewhat reckless and dangerous, people said he was involved with drug wars and was the leader of a violent gang, but Bobby never believed that for even a second. Although Cain wasn't picture perfect, he also wasn't this dangerous bad boy that people thought he was. Bobby was very aware that Cain took stronger drugs and drunk quite a lot for a boy his age, but the only people he really hung out with were his bandmates. He was friendly with everyone though, even if he was a little strange. Then again in other people's eyes, Bobby was also strange too.

Bobby supposed there was somewhat of a mutual understanding there that they'd never talked about or even really acknowledged, but it was there nonetheless.

Bobby paused for a second and hesitantly looked over at Cain who was still watching him out of the corner of his eye. "Fine.." He stated, turning fully to look at Cain with bored eyes while Cain stared back at him, beaming.

Both Bobby and Cain excused themselves from the mess hall and sneakily travelled over to Ned's office which wasn't too far from the mess hall and the middle schoolers cabin. Cain merrily skipped over to the office and picked the lock of it, he was very messy at this and it resulted in him dropping the hairpin he was using to pick at the lock that he got from Barbara. Each time Cain dropped the hairpin, Bobby rolled his eyes and groaned. "If you're gonna keep dropping the damn thing, give it to me instead." He grunted and jabbed his hand out at Cain, flattening his palm out and motioning his fingers towards him.

Cain smiled at him and handed him the hairpin, Bobby took it and leant down trying to unlock it multiple times with no luck. He yells out in frustration and stood back up to kick the door. "Stupid fucking thing." Cain giggled at him and slid his finger through the gap between Bobby's palm and his fingers, his fingers locked onto the hairpin and idly pulled it out.

Cain nudged Bobby out of the way and slipped the hairpin gently back into the lock and it clicked, signalling to both of them that the door was now open. Cain turned his head to the side to look up at Bobby and he gave him a goofy grin in return. He gently opened the door and they both walked inside. Cain hummed to himself as he rummaged through the table drawers, spying the drugs and the alcohol. "Jackpot!" he chuckled to himself and held up the bottle of vodka, the two bags of cocaine and multiple rolled up joints in a plastic bag like he'd won a prize at a fun fair after trying to win multiple times and failing.

They sneaked back into Cain's cabin where everyone else was now and they all cheered when they saw Cain raise up the alcohol and drugs. Without anyone noticing, except Bobby. He slipped the two bags of cocaine into his back jean pocket. He shared out the alcohol and joints for the group and plopped down onto his bed with Bobby standing at the doorway.

Neil turned to him and the smoke left his lips. "Come on freak, sit down." This caused Cain to kick him rather harshly, earning him a glare in return. "Don't be a dick. He's not a freak at all." Bobby saw darkness cloud over Cain's eyes. Bobby was somewhat taken aback because he'd never seen Cain so mad at someone before in his life. "Chill out man! I'm only joking!" Neil took another drag of the joint and huffed out the smoke at Cain. He scooted over on his bed and patted down the spot beside him and tilted his head at Bobby for him to come forward.

Neil grinned underneath the cover of his hand and intentionally stuck out his foot so that Bobby would trip over it. And that he did.

Bobby flew forward and face planted straight into Cain's chest, causing his face to bloom into a shade of scarlet. A loud erupting laughter could be heard from Neil and the others. Bobby's head shot up and he came face to face with Cain who was just looking at him with a worried look on his face, he pushed himself off of him and stood up suddenly. Too suddenly to the point where it made him stumble a bit.

"Guess Ned was right, you are a faggot after all."

This just caused Neil to laugh even harder, the others laughter had died down but Bobby could still see them giggling at him, except for Lindsay who just looked extremely worried about him. Bobby faced Neil and glared daggers at him, he thought if he glared at him hard enough then he could burn holes straight through his face. His hand clenched into a fist and before he even realised it, he punched the grin right off of Neil's face which caused some of the teens in the room to gasp but then the room turned into almost pure silence. The only noise in the room was coming from Neil himself who was groaning in pain.

When Neil brought himself back to his senses, Bobby thought for a second that his eyes flashed red and he stood up in an instant. He aimed for his face and Neil's fist was inches away before an arm crept out from behind Bobby and caught the fist with his own hand. Bobby turned his head to look at Cain who was now crushing Neil's hand under his own weight.

Lindsay could see that Neil was in a lot of pain and she stepped in between them, Bobby grabbed Cain's wrist. "Let go, it ain't worth it." Cain peered down at him and after a beat, he decided to let go of Neil's fist who was now howling in pain.

Cain moved through the others and shoved past Lindsay, storming out of the cabin. Bobby kind of half chased after him and when they both left fully, that's when the others helped Neil. Barbara got out the first aid box and opened it up. "Is anything broken?" Lindsay shook her head 'no'. Marcy rolled her eyes at Neil's over dramatisation and looked outside to see nothing but pitch black darkness. "It's your own fault, loser. Why'd you have to go and do that? You know damn well how he feels about that word." She glared down at him and took a swig from the bottle of vodka, grimacing at the taste.

"Fuck off, whore." Neil spat back at her, saliva frothing at his mouth and dribbling down his chin slightly.

Stu got up and was ready to finish what Cain started but was stopped by Carl.

"I think we should head back to our cabin, don't you guys think so?" Carl smiled up at Stu who ended up shuffling backwards in response, grabbing the bag of joints and leaving with Marcy not far behind him. "You gotta stop being a dick man. Gonna end up getting yourself killed." Neil flipped Carl off with his good hand and scoffed. Carl shrugged it off and left the cabin, along with Barbara. Leaving Lindsay and Neil alone together, the other bandmates left to go for a walk to leave everyone to calm down.
