27 ~ Soul Binded

Eren's POV:

As I heard the church bells ring signalling that the time was 3pm I couldn't help but shudder with anxiety, it was finally time. It was time to walk down the aisle and show Levi how much I love him and how much I want to spend the rest of my life with him. So why am I so nervous? Well, I'm nervous for many reasons. I'm scared that I'll be judged for wearing a dress even though I'm a guy, I'm scared that I'll trip up while walking down the aisle, I'm scared I'll mess up my lines as I read my vows infront of everyone but most importantly I am afraid of messing things up. Today is 'my big day' as some people call it, I'm meant to enjoy it and it's meant to be perfect but I myself isn't perfect. I took a deep breath and soon felt a comforting hand find it's way into my shoulder and a soft voice spoke. "Hey, Eren. I know you're scared but trust me, as soon as you lock eyes with the captain you will forget about everyone else. You've got this, I'm so proud of you" Armin gently told me. I now realise more than ever just how much my friends truly mean to me, I don't know where I would be at this point without them and I am super greatful especially for Armin for his support.

"Thank you Armin, it means a lot" I said, turning my head slightly to face him before opening the church doors and stepping onto the aisle. There he was, there on the other side of the church was my soon to be husband Levi. He turned around when he heard the sound of the doors and had looked straight at me, a moment passes and I decide to walk forwards. He looked me up and down for a few seconds, seemingly taking in everything about me from the dress I'm wearing to how my hair was done and then lastly made eye contact. Our eyes were locked as we both wore a huge grin on both of our faces, I wasn't sure what the people were shocked about more. The smile on Levi's face or me wearing a dress but at that moment Armin was right, nobody else mattered. It was just me and Levi.
I reached where I was meant to be standing and joined my hands with my fiancé's, I heard Erwin clear his throat before speaking. "We are gathered here today to join two people together, hand in hand and soul in soul." My heart was racing, this was actually happening and was not just a dream. I could feel my ears start to water but immediately wiped my tears eyes before I could start crying. I couldn't keep my eyes off of the ravenette infront of me, his eyes a light blue colour that could only be described as the colour of blue smoke, his lips too soft to touch with the slight tint of pink blessing them and his fair skin that gave off a natural glow was all too much for me. How could someone as beautiful as him fall in love with someone like me? I desperately wanted to know what he was thinking, did he think I was beautiful too? I sure hoped so. But as commander Erwin continued to speak, I couldn't help but feel a small rumbling sensation under my feet and by the looks of it so did Levi. Erwin stopped talking for a few seconds mean while another rumble happened but this time more violent, was there a Titan here? Why did it have to come now? Out of all the days one could appear it chose today. One scream was heard, and then another and another until I finally broke eye contact.

Levi's POV:

Eren quickly broke eye contact with me and looked to the side, a worried expression plastered on his face. I looked in the direction and dread immediately filled my stomach, there wasn't just one Titan, there was multiple and they were all heading towards us. None of us though that this was going to happen and so we weren't prepared at all. "Fuck!" I cursed under my breath, "Erwin what are we going to do!?" I shouted, annoyed that my wedding would have to be postponed just because of the shitty titans having to turn up right this second.

"I don't know, we left all the gear" He replied seriously, staring right at one of the titans with a deathly glare in his eyes.

"DAMN IT!" I shouted but Eren was quick to grab my arm and calm me down as he smiled warmly and almost apologetically at me.

"It's going to be ok, I promise" He promised me, soon turning back to look at the scene happening right in front of us. Titans were coming fast and we knew we couldn't stay there, people were getting stepped on, eaten and even more extremely horrifying events were happening. We looked at each other one last time and at that moment I knew that Eren was thinking the same as me, we had to leave. And so... we ran. We ran as fast as our legs could carry us away from the titans and the corpses of our once beloved friends, sure it was selfish but we had to do it otherwise we might never get our happily ever after or even just a decent life together. I looked back at the brunette to see a single tear roll down his cheek, he seemed to notice that I had seen it and was quick to wipe it away and smile.
