Mia

I feel like I'm laying on the coziest cloud ever. It's so nice up here.

Mia

Oh someone on the cloud is with me they just said my name. How do they know my name?

Mia, wake up

No. Why would I wake up? I'm cozy right here and I'm not moving.

"MIA! Wake up."

I jump off the cloud, opening my eyes and realizing I'm in my hotel room and a half naked Nate is beside me. So that was the cozy cloud.

What the hell happened last night? I never drink that much alcohol. Usually only when Nate and I go clubbing I like to let go and have fun. Oh shit the club.

That's the first and last time I ever let Rebecca talk me into going clubbing with her. She kept shoving shots of I don't even know what, in my hand. I was just so happy the Leafs beat the Jets last night so I agreed to go out. I may have been already tipsy before the game ended and forgot to tell Nate I decided to go out with my work friends to the club. That's probably why he looks pretty pissed right now even though I was just snuggled up to him using him as a pillow two seconds ago. Which he usually loves. Now? Not so much.

"Want to tell me why the fuck Max Thorton was thanking you for a great time last night when we were leaving the club?" Oh shit he's pissed. He never talks to me like that. I wonder what kind of bullshit Thorton said to him when I was practically falling asleep on the way out.

"The only encounter Thorton and I had last night was me yelling in his face that the Leafs were going to beat the Canucks on Saturday." I tell him confidently knowing that even though I was pretty drunk I was always around someone from my office and kept all my drinks safe. I was never alone with Thorton so whatever he said, he was just trying to piss off Nate. Which clearly worked.

"You failed to mention that you were going out last night. Imagine how worried I was when I got here trying to surprise you a day early only to find the room empty," he spits out to me but he's clearly not finished because he keeps going. "First some prick named Jamie has to tell me that you're out clubbing. Then I have Thorton telling me he had a great time with you. What the hell Mia?" Wait? Back up? He's mad at me for going out and having fun with my work friends.

"I didn't do anything with Thorton, how could you ever doubt me like that? And I told you I gave Jamie no attention, that he was a complete ass when he introduced himself. I'm sorry that I just wanted to have a good time with my friends after your win," I tell him, hoping he can calm down a bit.

"No Mia. You're allowed to have fun and go out. I just got worried when you weren't replying," he says in defeat knowing we never argue about things like this. Even though things like this usually never happen to us. But recently it seems like they keep following us.

"I didn't want to take my phone out and risk dropping it in the club. Come on, we're not in college anymore Nate. I still know what's going on even if I'm a little drunk and having a good time. I made sure everyone knew I was taken," I tell him with a smile on my face wiggling my fingers with the ring on it in front of his face.

"As long as you were okay and had fun and nobody touched you. Do you feel sick or anything?" He asks me as he lifts me onto his lap and puts his hands on my hips, rubbing them softly.

"Surprisingly. No really. Thanks to your very smooth muscular chest. I felt like I was on cloud nine before you woke me up and started yelling at me. You owe me French toast," I tell him accusingly.
