Nathan

Best fiancé award goes to me.

Mia bought my sob story about us not getting the house and now I get to fucking surprise her with it.

We got it. Our forever home. Everything about it was perfect. The kitchen, family room, the backyard, the exterior finishings, the shower in our bathroom...Fuck when I saw that shower I was sold. I was ready to give however much money needed to get it. Our condo doesn't have a bench in the shower. Do you know what kind of things you can do with a bench in a shower? A whole fuck-ton.

It's Christmas morning and Mia is still snoozing away, her face pressed into my bare chest as I slightly rub her back just enough to soothe her but not wake her up even though I'm about to blow with all this excitement. Through the slight crack in the curtains I can see a little downfall of snow falling to the ground. Perfect, just how Mia likes it. I hate the snow Nate, she tells me every winter. It's only acceptable on Christmas morning and that's it. We spent last night with her mom and dad and exchanged gifts like we always do on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day we usually go to my dad's house in the morning and Mason meets us there too. My dad lives a bit out of the city in Vaughan. I always told him I can move him out to the city but I knew he didn't want to leave the home we grew up in. The home he and my mom built so many memories in. That's why finding this home with Mia means so much to me. I want to build our future here, make the best memories in this home, a place our kids can always come back to even after they go off to college. That's why I told Mason to pick up my dad and head over to our new house which I got the keys to just two days ago. My dad and Mason are going to be waiting inside the house with Mia's second Christmas present after I surprise her with the house. Thank God the house came almost fully furnished, all I had to do was buy a few new things to add, though I know Mia is going to have the time of her life redecorating. I don't ever enjoy watching Mia cry, but I fucking love watching Mia happy cry. And I know she's going to be doing a lot of that today. Man, I'm an asshole. But I can't wait.

I know she is going to be suspicious when we open gifts and I don't have an actual gift for her since I always get her something. But I'm just going to tell her I have it at my dad's house and she will get it there. Which is somewhat true, after she sees that we got the house she may or may not also be getting a dog. I couldn't resist, Mia left her dog, Leo, with her parents when she moved in with me. I know she wanted to bring him but she thought it would be better to leave Leo there to keep her parents company. Now that we got our own home it was time to get our own dog which I can't wait to give to her. He's the cutest fucking dog I've ever seen. He's a Bernese Mountain Dog, he's only just a puppy now, but damn if I didn't fall in love with him myself when I first saw him when Mason and I went to go get him. He remains nameless, because I do not feel like being castrated by Mia and she would literally kill me if I named our dog without her. And now I'm just getting impatient, she can sleep more tonight.

"Mia, wake up my love," I whisper to her, leaving kisses on her hairline.

"Not yet Nate, a few more minut-," she doesn't even finish her sentence before she buries her face deeper into my chest dozing off again. Hell no, I'm done staring at her like a creep for the past hour.

"Come on baby, my dad says the french toast will get cold," And just like that she flies off my chest eyes wide open.

"Okay, I'm ready, let's go," she says rather quickly.

"Maybe you should brush your teeth first," I tell her jokingly.

She slaps her hand to her mouth instantly. "Is it really that bad, oh my god, I need to brush my teeth now," I think that's what she said since her hand is still covering her mouth, I grab her before she can get out of bed.
