I had my headphones in, I Loved You by Day6 was playing in my ears as I scanned the view through the car window. We were on our way to KBS to perform as our last performance.
I turned on my phone to check the time. I let out a tired sigh when I noticed how early it was.
After we were done with performing last night, we went straight to practice and watched how we did and point out what improvements we could fix on. After practicing for a few hours, the staff wanted to film our dance practice video.
Since we were doing okay during practice, we managed to go back home before 11PM.
"Can we stop by for breakfast?" Junsol asks the manager, leaning on the front seat.
"No," our manager replies, "you'll bloat. Make sure you don't eat much during lunch either."
Junsol huffs, pulling away.
Normally, if you heard this in the outside world, many would get mad at the way we were told to not eat. But this is the life we chose, we knew the consequences. Of course, this should not be normalised, but it's the only way we could get fans. We were told multiple times to take care of how we look.
'get some work done'
'don't get tan'
'make sure you don't eat past 8PM'I've been in the industry for too long now, I don't get affected by my manager's words anymore. I know what I had to do, and I have to accept it.
When I started training for the first time, I was told that I had to lose weight. I was skeptical. When I was in the UK, many people complimented me on how skinny I was, but the moment I stepped into Seoul, I was told by everyone I had to be loose weight.
It did get into my head, but the support I got from my members helped me tremendously. I was the last one to become a trainee, by then everyone was used to going on diets.
"We're here."
Our manager opens the door for us, leading us out. The sun hasn't rose yet, it was still dark, but there were many cars coming in and out of the building.
This time, we were given our own waiting room. It wasn't as big as SBS, but it was fine.
We spent the next 3 hours getting our make up and hair done. Today, they made me wear an oversized baseball shirt. They had my long orange hair styled down this time, they had braided a few pieces of my hair to make it look a little cuter.
We quickly did our pre-recording before going back to the waiting room.
By then, it was only 10AM. Usually from now until 1PM, we had the time to ourselves. Some idols would go back to the practice room, some would go back to the hotel that he company had booked for them, and some would go back home.
We would usually go back to the practice room and continue practicing until 1PM. It's tiring, but like I said, it's the life that we have gotten used to. If not, we have to get used to it.
We pack our things, making sure we didn't leave anything behind.

12:30PM
I'm currently getting my make up done.
The make-up stylists had removed my make up from the pre-recording, to make my make up look natural when we get our photos taken later. Then, once we are in the waiting room, they would have to continue with my stage make up.
"What lipstick do you want to try today?"
Sometimes I think I'm lucky enough to have make-up artists letting me choose my make up style. I know some idols don't have a choice and that they have to follow through whatever their make-up artists put on their face.
