My manager hands me the sunglasses that I had left with Mark.

He glares at me, "this better not happen again. You shouldn't be getting into a scandal anytime soon."

I purse my lips but nod understandingly, taking the sunglasses from him.

"Anyway, you have the Laniege shoot tomorrow at noon. I'll come pick you up then," he adds on. I acknowledge before bidding him goodbye.

I'm currently at the company building, they were discussing if I wanted to take the lead role in a new drama with Lee Jaewook. I agreed since the plot was quite interesting. The script reading will be held in a month and shooting will start right after script reading.

My manager offered to drop me off back home, but I had plans to meet Haneul for lunch later.

I grab my bag and left the building.

I was wearing a short sleeved dark blue blouse that was slightly cropped. I paired it with a pair of white linen pants and sandals. I pulled my hair into a ponytail since my neck was drenched in sweat.

I hate summer. There really is nothing good about summer. All you do is sweat and waste electricity.

The restaurant Haneul and I would be eating at isn't that far away from the company building. When we were trainees, all 5 of us would often go to this family restaurant because of the cheap but delicious food. The owner knew us, and would give us freebies all the time.

I wave at Haneul when I see her waiting for me at the entrance of the restaurant, I pick up my pace.

We both enter the restaurant. The moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were bombarded with our own faces on the wall.

When we debuted, the owner wouldn't stop congratulating us, he would put our pictures and albums on the wall. He even had our autograph in a frame.

The owner comes running to us. She's an old woman in her 80s, "It's so good to see you again,"

I grin, "it's been so long since I ate here. I've been missing your food,"

Her warm hands rests on my elbows, "of course you did... go and take a seat wherever. I'll prepare your food soon."

She walks off to the kitchen to prepare our food. Haneul and I sit at our usual place: it was on the right side of the room, a few seats down the middle. We've been here too many times, we know the perfect seating area for each occasion.

"Why did the company call you?" Haneul asks me, placing her bag on the table.

"I was being casted for a new drama," I tell her.

She nods, "we got invited to perform on MAMA later this year," she tells me.

My eyes widen, "really?"

She nods again, "yeah, they're giving us a special stage. We have 13 minutes to perform."

"13 minutes?" I cough, "that's way more than last year!"

Haneul beams, "I know right?"

The owner comes back out and put 2 trays in front of us. It was filled with side dishes. "Are you guys performing for MAMA? I should make sure to watch it then," she chuckles.

The news for MAMA was not out yet, but we trust the owner of this place. She knows everything about us- she knows what she can say and what she cannot.

"Halmeoni," Haneul says, "why are you giving us so much side dishes? You're going to make us gain weight," Haneul pouts.

Haneul usually, barely has any expression on her face. But when it comes to the grandmother in this restaurant, she instantly becomes affectionate. Haneul lost her grandmother at a very young age, so I assumed that was the reason why she was so close to the owner of the restaurant is because she craves love from a grandmother that she didn't have.

The owner clicks her tongue, "that will be good then! You guys are constantly getting skinnier every time I see you," she shakes her head. Her fingers pinches my cheek then pinches Haneul's cheeks. "There are no more fats and your beautiful faces."

Haneul and I laugh. She lets go of us and head back to the kitchen to prepare our meal.

"By the way," Haneul speaks up. I peel my gaze off my phone and look up at the girl. "I heard that you and Mark went to dinner a few days ago."

My eyes grow in size. How did she know?

She laughs at my expression, "manager told us."

I sigh, relaxing a bit. "we went out as friends. I was the one who invited him."

She accepted my answer firmly, "but, Diana," her tone was more serious now, "I love you but I also love our group," she starts, "and I'm not saying that you cannot date. But we are just starting to get recognition as a whole group."

My eyes soften at that. It was a topic that we never talked about: me being out and busy, while they do their own things until the company announce that we're having a comeback. I felt bad, I really did, but this was something I have always wanted to do.

"We are not mad that you have your own schedules," she says, reassuring me, "it's just... if we work a little bit harder, we might make it,"

"I understand," I tell her, "I only see him as a friend and I know he sees me nothing more than a friend too," I continue, "I promise, I'll make sure I won't do things that would affect us as a group."

Haneul sends a sweet smile towards my way, "okay. enough of this serious stuff. How was he in person?"

I laugh and proceed to tell her what had happened that night.
