*Draco taking care of sick Harry; fluff!!*
The room was a mess. More junkyard than a bedroom. Littered with clothes too sweaty to be in any way comfortable, cups of instant noodles left only half-eaten before bouts of nausea, glasses of stale water, teacups of alarming age that showed a hint of early mould settlements.
Harry, hiding under two blankets and a duvet of his improvised sickbed/nest thing, fortunately, didn't have a clear picture of said mess of a room. His already terrible mood would have been quite worse if he could manage to peer from the safety cocoon and glance at whatever has become of his bedroom in the past three days.
So, when the obnoxious sound of his doorbell broke through the apartment, and he was forced to stand up to dismiss whoever had come to bother him, the shock of the mess had him stopping after barely a step. And blinking. In misery. Surprise. And also, fear.
In a lucky twist of fate, his visitor decided that waiting for his sick person to open the door was an unnecessary action and soon, before Harry had managed to completely comprehend the state of his bedroom, the doors opened to reveal blinding afternoon light, as well as the blinding beauty in the shape of his boyfriend.
"You didn't come to lunch," Draco informed him slowly before looking around and slumping in defeat.
"I didn't have lunch," Harry said as Draco walked towards him and then pushed him to sit back down onto the sickbed/nest thing. This was probably a good decision as Harry had no doubt his headache could turn to dizziness in seconds.
"Of course, you didn't." Draco sigh made Harry feel like he was five and he only vaguely avoided pouting.
"I'm sick."
"I see that." Draco went around the room, collecting mouldy teacups and half-eaten instant ramen with swishes of his wand until they all lay on a pile quickly vanished thereafter. "How long have you been in bed?"
"Centuries. I did go to the bathroom this morning, though," Harry nodded seriously but it only made his vision blur further. "Or maybe it was yesterday. I dunno."
A few more wand swishes had the sickbed/nest thing changed with new sheets and a fresh blanket, and the final charms made the air clearer and a tad colder. Harry shivered just as Draco sat down next to him.
"Does your throat hurt?" A cold hand was pressed to Harry's forehead and he blearily looked up at Draco's concerned eyes.
"No," he croaked and was rewarded with a small, fond smile.
"You do have a fever though. I think we should get you a shower and a Pepper Up and maybe some actual soup, yeah?"
"And cuddles?"
This time Draco's smile was wide and amused but it still made Harry feel a warmth that had nothing to do with the fever.
"And cuddles. But you should try to sleep."
"I always sleep the best when you're with me," Harry said and Draco took his hands into his own and pressed a kiss to his knuckles.
"Me too. How about that shower?"
"Will you join me?"
"Hm," Draco pretended to consider for a moment, "Maybe next time. We strive for efficiency here and we don't want you collapsing, now do we?"
"Yeah, collapsing is bad. I tripped on the carpet while getting my noodles."
"You okay?"
"Yeah, but my elbow's bruised." A hoodie sleeve was pulled, and Harry showed off his new bruise. Draco pecked it gently with a grin.
"Thanks, babe," Harry murmured before he was overtaken by a yawn. He leaned into Draco who immediately pulled him closer into his embrace. Harry wished his energy stores were big enough to accommodate for all the ways he wanted to use to show Draco how much he loved him at the moment. Being sick sucked.
"Don't fall asleep," Draco warned but started playing with Harry's sweaty hair either way. "You have to take a shower."
"Mm, in a minute. Or five minutes. Cuddle me for five minutes and then I'll take a shower."
Draco was about to argue but Harry used all the remaining energy in his body to pull them both down onto the mattress and then sprawl himself over his boyfriend's gorgeous, warm, cuddly body. Draco laughed but quickly wound his arms around his favourite octopus, hugging him tightly.
Maybe they could just cuddle for five minutes.
Cuddles were good for fevers too.
