The Alpha's Lost Imprint

Chapter 1

All characters in this story belong to Stephanie Meyer. This is my first b+b story. It picks up in Eclipse after Jacob and Bella kiss, hope you guys like it.

Jacob's POV:

I couldn't believe Bella, the girl I've loved since we were kids, would chose a bloodsucking leech over me. I thought after the kiss we shared she would realize that she really did love me, but boy was I wrong.

Flashback:

I overheard that she and the bloodsucker were getting married, and I thought I was gonna puke. I stormed off trying to clear my head, but all I could hear was her sweet voice calling after me. "Jake wait, please hear me out. I didn't want you to have to find out this way. I wanted to be the one to tell you, but now I guess it's too late."

Just the mere thought of losing her to such a vile creature made my blood boil. "Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag now, isn't it? How did you expect me to react Bells? You know I've loved you since we were kids. That's okay, I may not be able to do anything to change your mind now, since obviously this has been planned out, but I can go out there and kill something. Or maybe I just might go get myself killed, and make it easy for you."

I knew how she would react to that, but I was so upset that I just didn't care. I turned to walk away when I heard her cry out to me. "Jacob! Kiss me! I'm asking you, to kiss me." I couldn't believe what I had just heard. I turned on my heels and practically ran to her. She was hesitant for our lips to meet, but she took a deep breath and pulled me in.

I wrapped her in my arms and waited for the sparks to fly as soon as our lips met, but they never did. There were no fireworks like I had always imagined there'd be. I was expecting the animal in me to come alive and claim the girl I had loved for so long, but nothing happened. For the first time since I phased, my wolf was calm, too calm.

I pulled away and had to compose myself before she saw the disappointment on my face. She let out a, very out of breath, wow. I faked a smile, hugged her tight, and said, "I gotta go." I tried to keep my thoughts in check, knowing Leech...Edward was listening, but I knew he already heard.

End of flashback

It had been two years since she and Edward got married, and it was in that time that I had the wake up call that I needed.
