Chris's POV:
Hello, I'm Christopher Swan. I am 22 years old and I am a werewolf/human hybrid. My biological father, Charlie Swan is fully human, while my birth mother is a shifter from the Quileute Tribe. I'm originally from New York City, where I was roommates with a shifter. I was introduced to the supernatural world when a small group of vampires invaded our area.
Flashback:
There had been multiple unexplained deaths in Manhattan, and I was sick with what felt like the flu. My whole body ached and I was burning up with fever.
In the days before I finally phased, my body was so hot, I could fry an egg on my forehead, and I felt like every bone in my body was being broken over and over again. My roommate talked me through the whole process and never left my side. I found myself very irritable; the slightest thing would send me into a fit.
The day I phased, I noticed my roommate had done the opposite of everything I asked of him. I got so mad and was shaking uncontrollably. He tried to calm me down, but I was seeing red.
Knowing what was coming, he started backing out of the door. As I lunged at him, I felt something explode and I looked down to see myself on paws instead of feet. I tried to let out a grunt, but all that came out was a deep grumble.
End of flashback
I had managed to keep my true form hidden and landed myself a job in Seattle. My skills and law degree served me well as I was offered a position as a defense attorney. I had heard a lot about a man named Charlie Swan, who was chief of police in Forks, but I wasn't sure if there was any relation. I sent off a DNA test and waited for the results. I got an envelope in the mail that confirmed that I was, indeed, the chief's son.
I decided, one day, to call him up and ask if he'd meet with me. He seemed hesitant at first, but agreed. I got into my car and made the two and a half hour drive to Forks.
Meeting Charlie was like meeting a long lost twin. We had so much in common, there was no way we could deny our familial bond. He took me to his house and showed me around the block; he wouldn't shut up about his best friend, Harry Clearwater, who he went fishing with all the time.
He told me how Billy and his son Jacob tend to stay to themselves on the reservation. They would come by every now and again to watch the baseball game or when Harry would make his famous fish fry. There just happened to be a game this Friday, and if I was lucky, I might just get to meet the Blacks.
