The months of July and August were a complete turnaround; Liam was home every day and I hardly seen Adeline at all. I would feed her and Liam would come and get her and I wouldn't hear from him until Addie was hungry again.

I took absolute complete advantage of this fact and did things around the house that desperately needed to be done and napped almost every day.

**

September was a rude awakening for me Liam left on the seventh and I didn't hear from him for fifteen days; he didn't call and when I called whichever hotel he was at he never called back; even when he had days off...and he had a few.

It was one extreme or the other with him; either he helped so much with Addie that I didn't see her unless she needed to be fed or he wasn't anywhere to be seen or heard from and I got two hours of sleep a night.

**

Liam came back home on the twenty-fourth and acted like absolutely nothing was wrong.

Addie and I were sitting on the living room floor playing with toys when the front door opened.

"ADELINE APRIL!" Liam announced dropping his bag in the doorway and scooping her up from the floor.

I sighed sitting back against the couch and looking up at them.

"I remember when it used to be me you were that excited to see"

"Well I've got another special gal in my life now" he smiled as I got to my feet.

I nodded "Right, I see how it is"

He gave me a kiss as Addie pulled on the zipper on his jacket.

"Did you miss me?"

"You didn't call" I sighed hugging him tightly; no matter how mad I was at him I always missed him like crazy.

"Are y'comin' to the show tomorrow?" He asked ignoring my statement.

I shook my head "And leave Addie by herself? No"

"Ask Mam t'babysit"

I sighed "Even if she babysat I'd probably just stay home and sleep, I'm fucking exhausted, Liam"

"Aw c'mon babe, I haven't seen y'in two weeks!"

"And I've been up with Addie every night for hours, she's been sick."

"You've been sick?" Liam asked looking at Addie "Well, maybe your mam should be takin' better care of you, aye?"

"And maybe your dad should tell Uncle Noel to go screw himself because he has a family at home now" I answered fixing Addie's shirt.

"And Mummy has t'remember if Daddy doesn't work she doesn't get any money for her fancy clothes an' cars an' her yacht"

"And Mommy told Daddy she doesn't want a yacht, remember that?"

"I think you're full of it" he smiled "An' I got a little somethin' t'make you not so tired"

"I'm not doing it" I shook my head again; I knew exactly what he was getting at.

"Aw c'mon babe, y'used t'love it"

"Before we had a baby and no one to take care of but myself"

"She'll be at Mam's"

"For one night," I nodded "Do you remember how long those highs last?"

"A few hours"

"For you" I nodded "It lasts a hell of a lot longer for me and I’m the one who's going to have to take care of her tomorrow when we go pick her up and I refuse to do that"
