TWO

The week of the attack came, and now we are all preparing for tomorrow. “we have to be careful of the moroi's magic, fear will weaken them, stick together and you will be alright" Nathan assured.

“Rose minor change of plan again, after you call them out. You will go inside the school and look for other morois lurking in the woods.” He demanded and I gave him a nod.

“Now I'M okay with that.” I said before walking out the door and to prepare for tomorrow. The countdown til the attack seemed quicker than it actually is and now we're running towards our positions.

“Ok, Rose you will go first with the humans.” he said when we we're near the academy.

When the humans broke the ward with a silver stake, I look at the gate and saw Mikhail. “Mikhail!” I shouted

“Rose?”he gasp, I could smell the fear in him. As he turn around he was shock and the other guardians ran and warned everyone. Mikhail ran as fast as he can inside the academy, then guardians came out. I was right, there was less guardians now.

They ran towards us with silver stakes held tightly in their hand and I just wanted to kill them all. I did what Nathan told me to do. I went into the woods, the woods I've known by heart, the woods I've known since I was a kid. I hunt around the lake where I've ice skated with Lissa and christian before and suddenly, a pair of hands grab me in my shoulder and turned me around with a silver stake touching my neck which made me scream in pain, I struggled against the grasps with as much strength as I possess and I managed to escape.

I growled at them like a predator and the presence of a person before me brought me hesitation, it was Dimitri, in all his guardian glory; his stance ready and alert. I tilted my head and examined him, I felt a cold sensation from the ring again so I removed it. The hesitaiton gone, I ran towards Dimitri with all my speed, my vision only focusing on him, but another pair of hands brought me to a choke hold and so I used my elbow to jab him in the rib which made him let go. Dimitri placed a silver stake against my neck and I growled in pain. Mikhail then quickly chained my hands together while Dimitri held my neck against him by keeping the stake against my skin which caused me burning pain. Mikhail tied me to a metal that is connected to the cabin while Dimitri is still in the same position, holding the stake on my neck. A tear escaped my eye and it made a stain on my shirt and Dimitri's arm, which made him let go. Mikhail looked at the blood with wideyes and Dimitri stood up to walk next to Mikhail.

“What!?!” I demanded, Dimitri was just staring at me with sadness and guilt. “Let me GO!” I shouted trying to get out of the chain. “If you d-” I was interrupted when someone came bursting in the door.

Adrian and behind him was Christian and Lissa “Hey Rose” Christian said with a smirk on his face after he was shock. I used all my strength to break the chain and when it did, I used my speed to attack Dimitri but a circle of fire suddenly began to envelope me, growing smaller and smaller every step I take. I growled at Christian and I ran towards him, I tackled him but was once again pulled back by Dimitri, I see Mikhail ran towards me in my peripheral vision so when he was about to get close to me, I got a hold of his neck and I pushed him against the wall and hit Lissa unconsious in the proccess, I lifted up my other hand to punch the suffocating Mikhail but Dimitri held it in place as he used his forearm to put me on a chokehold then used all his strength to pull me back which made me release Mikhail. Dimitri kept one of my shoulders down while Mikhail took the other shoulder.

Fire began to form right above me, if I were to stand up, I was to burn. Dimitri and Mikhail both managed to obtain the silver stakes located at a close distances and used it to keep me down by pressing it on my skin "Adrian, you're going to have to do it!" Dimitri shouted and I feel blood dripping on my cheek at the burning pain. I see Adrian heading towards me with a silver stake in his hand. “What are you doing!?!” I screamed coldly, the fire vanished and Adrian was standing before me, the steak heading directly towards my heart.

I tried to stand up but Adrian staked me in the chest, I screamed in pain, a blood curdling scream and then bright white light came began to surround us and electricity was shoot everywhere, I no longer feel weight on my arms and the pain was gone, I felt alone in the bright light, I felt naked and vulnerable. Then the light is gone. I'm back to the cabin and I cried, all I could do was cry, I saw Adrian beside me but he was unconsious. I felt weak, I couldn't stand up and I didn't want to. I remember everything I did the whole time, the emotions I played, the people I killed, the taste of the blood... I feel everything, the pain, the fear.. I felt like a newborn, I'm confused and all I can do is cry.....
