THE NIGHTS IN THE SCORCH ARE QUIET SOMETIMES, it can be occupied by the sounds of Cranks wailing in the distances in every of their directions, they try to be careful as they camp in any shelter they could find, when they don't find shelter, they'd sleep on the ground and would wake up from their tarps that would be covered in sand before moving on.

It's been four days since Todd and his group arrived the Scorch. The further they went into the Scorch, the heat becomes more unbearable, they couldn't tolerate the sandstorms, they'd hide under a tarp until the storm passes. The skies have been mostly cloudless, it only gets cloudy when the severe lightning storm comes, when it does, they'd have to seek shelter immediately. Todd never expected that the Scorch would be this dangerous, he never expected the sand storms and the thunderstorms, he didn't think the place ever rained but it does. It was not only Cranks that they have to worry about.

          There was WICKED.

They've lost counted how many times the Bergs and helicopters have flown by them. Todd found it odd that WICKED have been appearing more in the Scorch than they have the last six months as they travelled to this place. As if the WICKED base was nearby, but WICKED bases can only be located in the remaining cities, and what the hell would they be doing here in the Scorch?

It was another hot day in the Scorch, Todd, Viola, Ellie and Joel continue their journey and searching for a resistance group called The Right Arm. The four of them awaited in an old and abandoned warehouse that stood in the middle of barren wasteland until sunset. They thought it would be best to travel at night, to avoid the heat from the sun and hidden from WICKED, meanwhile Joel thinks it's best to travel during the day because usually Cranks cooped in during the day and come out at nighttime. He wasn't wrong though.

Todd stood by the entrance of the warehouse, looking out, watching a Berg flying in the distance ahead before disappearing out of his sight. "Was that another Berg?" he didn't hear Viola approaching behind him, she stood by him and looked out.

"I'm pretty sure it was the same one yesterday" Todd shrugged, it was the first Berg he spotted today meanwhile he seen a helicopter flying out of the Scorch once this morning. He turned his glance to Viola, her hair was down, messy and greasy, her face flustered from the heat, lips almost chapped and dried. Their food and water was scarce, they had to ration them, to find any food and water seemed impossible anywhere in the Scorch, all they can do is try and find The Right Arm before starvation or dehydration kills them instead. Todd handed the canteen to her, "Here, have some"

          "No, I don't want─"

"Shut up and have some before I changed my mind"

Her expression read infuriation before she chuckled softly, hesitantly took the canteen, she didn't drink much, she could tell the canteen was filled half. They had two full jugs of water while two of them were already gone, three canteens carried by Joel, Ellie and Todd, while Viola was carrying the two jugs in her pack. "Ugh, water's so warm" after she swallowed a bit of water, it didn't quite satisfied the thirst at all. She looked at Todd, he gazed at the terrible view of the scorching dunes. "Is there anything you hope to find in the safe haven?"
