I followed her out the back door. She jumped over the fence and I couldn't help but gawk. Any other girl would have complained but not her. In one swift motion she was over it. I did the same. I saw a lake and thought we'd stop here, but she continued running and I followed her. She ran right into the woods and then stopped at the end. I gasped. She patted the place beside her and I happily sat down, as close as I could get without her suspecting anything. "Wow, this is just wow," I said. "I know," she replied in her beautiful voice.

~ Chapter 3

Joel's POV

It was a beautiful garden, with all kinds of flowers. In the middle was a fountain. The birds were chirping in trees and the butterflies of all colors were flying around. It was so peaceful I wish I could stay here forever. "You like it?" she asked in her angel voice. "Yea," I said. "This is my favorite place in the whole world." "Why?" I asked, curious to learn more about her. "I don't know," she said honestly. She laid her head down onto my shoulder and I loved how it fit perfectly into the crook of my neck. I smiled unconsciously and breathed in her scent. It was vanilla, my favorite smell. We just sat there. Suddenly, her phone rang. "Hello," she said as she got up. I frowned. I didn't like not having her close to me. "K thanks, bye," she said as she hang up, I started to get off the ground dusting off my pants. "That was Lauren. We have 10 minutes until next period. It should take about 5 to get back and another five to get ready so lets go!" She ran through the forest expertly making her way to the lake and over the fence. She was fast. Not as fast as me, but faster than most girls I know. We got to the school just in time and grabbed our homework from our lockers since we had study hall.

Cici's POV

We ran up the stairs to the 3rd floor. We burst threw the door which earned us glares from the librarians. I walked over to the table where Lauren was and saw she had a new guy. I waved and then grabbed Joel's arm ignoring the electric shocks flying through my arm and dragged him to another table. I sat down and decided to do my Social Studies homework since it was the only homework I had for now. I started circling the right answers and was done in a matter of no time. I got up and went to find a good book. I decided with my favorite book from the Ugly's Series, Specials. I grabbed it off the shelf and returned to our table and sat down. I opened it and as I began reading I was caught in Tally's world. (A/N: Tally is the main character in the book Specials.)

Joel's POV

She sat down and began reading. I whispered her name trying to get her attention but it was hopeless. I loved how her eyebrows scrunched up as she concentrated on reading. I resisted the urge to stroke her cheek. I ended up just staring at her for the rest of study hall. When the bell rang we both jumped, shocked at how fast time had gone by. I got up and packed my homework into my bag. Well, I more liked stuffed it into my bag. She ran and put the book away and came back and slung her bag over her shoulder. The rest of the day went by in a blur. All I could do was stare at her. She had such amazing eyes. They lit up when she understood something and they darkened when she couldn't understand it. I felt like I had known her for years but honestly I had only known her for hours. Lauren ran to us, practically jumping up and down with excitement. "Hey, can I borrow her?" she asked. I almost laughed. "Sure, see you later Cici." I winked and put on my trademark smirk on as I walked away from her beautiful, blushing face.

Cici's POV

I couldn't help the blush that covered my cheeks. "Ask him to come over," Lauren whisper yelled. "What! No!" I whisper yelled back. "Fine," said Lauren. With a mischievous gleam in her eye, she ran up to Joel. Oh no. I put my head in my hands and started to walk toward the car where Tristan was waiting.
