i like shiny things
but i'd marry you with paper rings

1 month, I've already been in Orlando for a whole ass month. In some ways, I feel like I've almost been here forever. George left about 2 weeks ago, after finally announcing that he was in fact in Florida on Nick's stream. He'd put face cam on (for once) and George walked in the background. After that, we did a stream for my channel where I beat them all at the original Mario kart. Clay of course said that I had hacked it beforehand because we were playing my copy of the game, but really he's just bad at Mario kart. I've already settled in completely to my house, and have stopped needing to order takeaway for every meal because I finally unpacked my cooking supplies. I've done so much and yet there's always something new that I find to do.

Clay <3
do you want to go to the mall w/ me today?

Like that. I still haven't been to the shopping centre nearest to my house. I just haven't needed to yet.

Oli <3
yeah sure, why?

you haven't been yet, I want to show you around
plus I know you don't have anything else planned for today

when should I be ready?

now?
I'm out front

fucker

Looking down at my current outfit of trackie pants and the test hoodie for my merch, I know that I can't just leave. I quickly throw on an oversized t-shirt and some shorts, as well as some assorted jewellery so that I look somewhat put together. I run out of my front door whilst simultaneously tying my long, brown hair back so that it's out of my face. I open the door to Clay's car and land in the passenger's side, glaring at him, "give a girl some warning mate."

"Sorry, I just wanted to go out and then forgot to ask you if you wanted to come before arriving," He shrugs and chuckles slightly. He isn't sorry at all. fucker.

The mall we ended up going to was an outdoor mall that seemed to be almost more of a market, I must have looked confused as to why everything was all set up so Clay explained it to me, "the shops that line the street are really nice, and the market happens every Sunday in spring and summer, sort of like a tourist destination, but there's also some really nice stalls,"

"Any good for jewellery?" I peek over the mass of heads to see what sort of stalls are set up.

"Yeah, Sam's favourite is just over here," He leads me towards a cute stall with natural wood stands filled with gold and silver jewellery. I've met Sam, Clay's little sister, enough times to trust her sense of style. Looking at some of the price tags, I could tell that either she had a job, a big allowance, or Clay had bought her most of the things she got from here.

"Why a jewellery stall?" I'm interrupted in my decisions as Clay leans over next to me, trying to see what I'm looking at.

"It's just a tradition I guess, every time I'm in a new city or town I buy myself a necklace, kind of like a piece of memory from that place, except it's cuter and not weirdly branded. You should see half of the weird city brandings from some of the towns in Australia, trust me this is much better."

"So that's why you have so many?"

"Yep, I've been collecting since I was 15. This one I got in Paris when I went on exchange to France," I lift the longer, gold chain with a small rose dangling from the end of it, "and this one I got at the Eumundi Market in Queensland a couple of years ago," I lift the slightly shorter chain covered in small beads of blue and green."
