"so do you mind telling me why there is another man in your room?" shotaro's father said to the young boy who had only manage to climb out of his bed, attempting to hide the taller. of course, his action failed, and shotaro was left with an incredibly blushed face.

"it's... not what it seems like..." shotaro whispered in embarresment. the boy was telling the truth but it seemed useless in front of his father.

"is this why you have fallen back on your studies? is he the reason?"

"no, father please listen to me!" shotaro pleaded. he hoped his father would just listen to him for once. "he's not the reason. i- i didn't even know him then."

"oh so you're sleeping around with other boys? using your body for sex instead of using that brain of yours? absolutely disgusting. we did not come all the way here for you to be a man whore. we did not pay for you to have higher education just for you to sleep around!" all the young boy could do was take the insults one by one. each one hurt more than the last as shotaro cried harder and harder. it seemed all he could do was cry in that situation.

"for fucks sake..." a voice muttered behind shotaro's father. the voice sighed before a loud slap was heard and shotaro's father held his cheek in pain.

the young japanese looked up through his glossy eyes to see his own mother crouching down to hug him. her perfume comforted the young boy as his tears stained her outfit.

"taro, dear, it's okay now, it's okay." his mother said quietly as she stroked his back to comfort him. "i'm sorry i didn't arrive sooner, i'm sorry." the two of them stayed like that for a while, forgetting the that a certain tall and handsome boy was wide awake and had heard everything but was way to awkward to go and do something. instead the boy just sat on shotaro's bed and blamed himself for what happened.

"sungchan," shotaro's mother called from outside the room, "breakfast will be served in five. do you want to come down?" she asked. sungchan stood in silence as he did not know what to say. he felt he was invading on shotaro's family, and they all might hate him. well, thankfully shotaro's mother seemed okay with the situation, but his father was a different situation.

"sungchan? i'll make sure that old man isn't there." the woman chuckled to herself a little.

sungchan sighed in relief, "yes, thank you." he said before turning to a mirror to fix up his hair. as he did this he heard shotaro and his mother having a conversation, and soon enough shotaro came back from his bath. his black hair stuck to his forehead as he wiped the drops of water away with a spare towel. sungchan couldn't help himself but look at him, and how his body showed more soft abs but had a smaller waist, and how his bare arms showed off his muscles... wait, what was he thinking? sungchan sighed before shaking his head in an attempt to remove any thoughts that may end up more... heated.

"i can see you staring." shotaro stated before laughing at a now flustered sungchan.

"i- i don't know what you're on about." sungchan huffed, turning his face away from the older.

"breakfast will be served in a bit. i'm sure you're hungry." shotaro said, opening his closet to pick out his clothes. "don't worry, my father won't be there to make it awkward." the older laughed to himself. sungchan nodded as his mind went back to the fight previously. was it his fault? probably. after all, he was the main reason for shotaro to be in a fight with his father.

"i'm sorry..."

"huh?"

"i'm sorry." sungchan said, louder this time.

"you don't need to be sorry." shotaro sighed, buttoning up his shirt. the older then sat down next to where sungchan is. "it's all just a misunderstanding, it doesn't really matter. what matters is me taking care of you after you appear with bruises all over yourself." shotaro said, bringing his hand to brush over the bruise on sungchan's shoulder.

"yeah, i get that part, we're not even dating or anything like that..." sungchan said quietly, but just loud enough for shotaro to hear.

"yeah... i don't know what came over that old man." shotaro said, faking a smile. 'not even dating' was the harsh truth of the two. their relationship was just friends who would awkwardly stare at each other, admire each other... yeah a 'normal friendship'. though, it hurt not only shotaro to say it was a friendship.

"oh-" shotaro shook his head to remove his thoughts, "you should take one of my shirts. you're only in a vest, won't you get cold?"

"aren't your shirts too small for me?" sungchan said, "you're shorter than me." the taller chuckled.

"hey! i'm not that much shorter, anyway, i have a few shirts that are a little too big... but they might be a little tight on you." the smaller said, picking out a white shirt from his closet as well as a slightly smaller one for himself. "here."

"thank you." sungchan smiled, taking the white shirt and putting it on. suprisingly the shirt fit perfectly. it was neither too loose or too tight. sungchan then brushed his trousers with his hands to make sure they were as 'perfect' as they could be in that scenario, and then waited for his friend to finish dressing.

"let's go," shotaro said, smiling at how his shirt fit sungchan perfectly. "breakfast should be served by now."

much to sungchan's appreciation, shotaro's mother had kept to her word about keeping her husband away, saying he had sent him on what would have been her errands.

"that old man has always done what i asked of him," she laughed as the food was served, "he's still the same after all these years." and she continued to talk all throughout breakfast.

"you'll go home after this right?" his mother suddenly said. shotaro quickly met sungchan's which had seemed to fall a little.

"yeah, i think i should..." was all sungchan said as he silently ate his meal.

"well if you ever feel like coming back here and staying over you are more than welcome, sungchan," shotaro's mother smiled. shotaro on the other hand was concerned for sungchan's return home. it didn't feel right to let him go home, let alone going home alone, after what happened the previous night.

"i'll go with him," shotaro said, "i'll run some errands on the way home."

"oh you don't need to run errands, taro," his mother said smiling, "just go and enjoy the sunshine. it looks like a lovely day."
