"are you okay? you seem quieter," sungchan said, turning to meet the smaller's eyes.

"i'm fine don't worry," shotaro smiled, but he felt bad for lying to the younger. ever since the conversation he had with sungchan's step-mother he's been focused on the impact it will have. the last thing he wanted to do was hurt sungchan.

sungchan's concern wasn't taken care of, however. he had heard the conversation and so he knew what was going on in the older's head, and so he came up with the plan for the two to go grab food together in hopes of taking their thoughts away from the glaring situation.

"what do you want to eat?" sungchan asked.

"hmm, whatever you want." shotaro replied. however, he had an idea before the younger could say anything. "we can go back to mine and cook a meal." he blurted out, his eye-smile beaming as he thought of the idea.

"can you cook?"

"of course! we can make an omelette dish or something along those lines. we can add vegetables, meat, egg..." the boy rambled on yet sungchan didn't want to stop him though as shotaro was happily rambling on about his idea.

"okay then, chef shotaro, tell me your ingredients and i will find them!" sungchan said, saluting as if he were a soldier. shotaro laughed at the boy's actions.

"okay so, eggs come first. while i beat the eggs you need to chop the vegetables, okay?" shotaro said. both the boys were now focused on making shotaro's take on an omelette.

sungchan continued to chop vegetables as shotaro beat eggs until they were ready. though, shotaro noticed how the younger seemed to be struggling chopping said greens without scaring shotaro about cutting his own hands.

"sungchan, protect your hand please,"

"yeah cat paw, right?" sungchan said as shotaro sighed in relief. though shotaro soon learned of sungchan's lack of cooking skills, but despite this he enjoyed the presence of the younger while he was cooking.

and soon after the chopping of vegetables, the sizzling of egg and oil, and the sound of laughter from the two boys, the meal was done and played perfectly. the two decided to ignore the fact that when shotaro tried to flip the omelette some of it spilled of the side, it doesn't need to be mentioned.

"it smells great," sungchan said, happily taking the chopsticks the older provided and digging in.

"i'm glad you like it," shotaro smiled, "my mother taught it me when i was younger. she always said a funny quote with that."

"then tell me."

"it's a little embarrassing..." shotaro said quietly, but someone with an omelette stuffed in his mouth was determined to have an answer.

"say it~" the younger whined and of course shotaro had to give in.

"she said: a way to a man's heart is though a classic okonomiyaki." shotaro buried his head in his hands in order to calm the blush that formed on his cheeks.

"oh as in the japanese dish..." sungchan said. that was all it took for shotaro to whip his head back up, stunned at what he, as well as sungchan, had just said. the older basically just outed himself as being from japan, a country with massive tensions to korea and the reason so many koreans protest.
