Listless Princess

Chapter 12

It was night, I was back in the ruby palace. I came to look at the starry night in the roof once again. My thoughts were all jumbled up, and I couldn't sleep because of it. 

The recent events that took place recently keep me awake. It was as if it was yesterday that I was killed by his hands. now he's here acting like a father. But the events in my previous lifetimes don't really matter in this life. And there's the slightest chance that Claude is different in this lifetime. But what was the reason for his change? I didn't do anything to make him notice me, and I'm still 5 too.

I was at the age where we're supposed to not meet each other. No, we didn't meet by coincidence, he was the one who called me. He even sent Felix Robane to pick me up.

I was just trying to live peacefully too, now he's come to bother me?

Should I start making my plans now? 

A paper and pen appeared in the air. I picked them up and started writing. 

First things first, Claude seems to be interested in me to the point of him letting me use my authority as a princess. Which I never got before. He seems to be planning something, but I can't figure out what it is.

He is either; going to keep me around on a leash so that he could monitor me himself and will throw me away later after meeting Jeannette which will lead to the same ending I've gone through before, or perhaps he's planning to kill me anytime he wants if ever I do something suspicious. 

Well let's plan things out,

Plan A, I will escape from this country as soon as I grow up with Lily, Tania, Hanna, and Ces. I will travel to another country, give ourselves new Identities, maybe I'll go to Siodonna, my mother's home country.

Plan B, I will go along with what that jerk Claude is up to and continue facing my death in this life again. But only the naive past Athanasia will do that, especially when Claude has finally taken notice of me. 

Plan C, I will...

A few days passed and our relationship stayed the same, thus he called for me once again. 

But, "I think you got a lot chubbier than last time" 

How dare he insult this 5-year-old body I took very much care to?!

"Mhmm," I said as I stood in front of him, not making any kind of expression of some sort. One could also say this as I'm ignoring him while looking at him in the eyes. 

"You've become bolder than last time too."

"Athy got these genes from mommy," I said, taking a bite out of the chocolate bar in my hands. Gosh, this is delicious. I noticed him twitching his eyes for a second there. Is mentioning my mother in front of him that sensitive? Yoshy I'll tease him with this. 

So far, I've met up with Claude two more times and had some not-so-important stupid father and daughter time, which I took lightly because I don't really care. 

However, during these past few meetings, I took notice that no matter how much I ignore him with a boring reply, nor how insolent I behave towards him. He never tried to kill me. but that was also a little bit disappointing coming from him. 

I was waiting for him to attack anytime so I'm always on my guard. Come on stupid old man, don't be shy... attack me!

'ATTACK ME!'

But to no avail, he never did that. As always, you're disappointing. So we just had a staring contest for over a minute but he gave up half-ways and told me to follow him and so I did. Does he think that I'm going to get intimidated by that annoying stare?

As soon as he turned around, I noticed Lily and Felix Robane's terrified looks, they must've been worried about me because I acted boldly in front of the Oh-so mighty Emperor. 

"I was on my way to the lake, get ready and join me," he said, as we continue on walking, I saw a fascinating boat floating on the lake. It was so beautiful that I thought of it as ugly. 

Anyways, we walked towards it but Lily complained, "Your Majesty, I worry about the princess being around the water is-" but she was interrupted by this jerk, "What's there to worry about when she's with me?"

Yes, Lily don't worry about me. I may look like a child but my actual age is past retirement already. but she insisted and tried to complain more, "B-but" then I tugged on her skirt, shaking my head, asking her to lower her body for a sec, then I whispered in her ears, "Don't worry, Lily, Athy is strong... enough to slap that guy in the cheeks ehe"

Then her complexion got worse, she was even more worried about me. 

I then walked towards Claude, looked at him in the eyes and he asked, "Don't you want to join me?"

"Athy wants to keep eating cocolates but Athy doesn't have a choice so Athy will join" I shrugged and smirked at him arrogantly. So are you going to attack me now? I'm very cocky right now so do it! 

"Hm, Is that so?"

Yeah, yeah, yeah hurry up.
