*beep beep beep*

Stupid alarm.

I roll over and see its 7:30. The sun is out already. Ugh first day of school.

Perfect.

I can hear mom smashing the pots and pans making her version on a healthy breakfast.

I get up, stretch and make my way to the bathroom. The nasty pimple seemed to have vanished. I make a mental note to thank Missy, my older sister.

After a nice cold shower, I make my way into my bedroom to find a blue polo and shorts have been laid out on my bed.

"Thanks mom!"

As I get dressed, my dad walks in.

"Hurry up. The pancakes are getting cold." And with that he leaves.

But I want to stay in bed. Fuck.

~~~
"Marshall, hurry up. You're gonna be late!"
"Ma, chill."
As I take a the last bite of 'pancakes', I see a strange light out by the pool.
"Pa, what is that?" I say pointing outside
He looks up from his newspaper and looks outside.
"What?"
"Don't you see the blue light?"
He looks at me puzzled. "Oh I get it." He winks at me and passes me some of his own pancakes.
I get up and open the sliding door. Strange, it's gone.
My watch beeps. Its time to go.
I run upstairs, put my timberlands on, grab my backpack.
"Bye ma, pa. See ya later"
"Bye baby. Have a good first day back!",
As I pull out the driveway, my phone rings. Its Max, my best friend.
"Yo, what's up max?"
"You're late."
"Fuck!"
"By the way, yo girl isn't here no more"
There's a bunch of traffic out by interstate. "I got to go. See ya in twenty minutes." And with that I hang up.
~~~

First period. Drama. Frankly I don't understand why they'd put drama in a high school. Don't they get that there's already a bunch of drama in life?

As I walk into the class, my vision starts to get blurry. I shake it off and take my seat.

All the girls are looking at me like a piece of meat.

"Aye, Marshy poo!" I grin. Me and max have known each other since we were little. I can't believe we still calls me that stupid nickname from when his mom called me that.

I take a seat in between him and a couple more of my friends. We're back by the windows.

Fifteen minutes into the 'lesson', something grabs my attention. Its the blue light again. But this time it seems to be going into the class. If light goes through something, it must stop at dark colors. But instead it went through the bookcase and straight into my chest.

Now I'm freaking out. But it gives me a nice sensation, like being out in the cool breeze. Which is funny since this particular classroom is one of the hottest. Plus the windows are closed.

My vision starts getting blurry again.

"Marshall are you okay?"

That's when I notice the whole class is staring at me. The teacher is now inches away from me.

Max and the gangs are hard trying not to laugh.

"Um. Yeah."

She gives me a worried look.

"Go get some water."

Yes, water. That's what I need.

I get up and head towards the nearest vending machine.

"Hi Marshmallows. Are you going to the party tonight?" Says a sweet voice.

I turn around and see Christina. She's wearing a tank top and booty shorts. Hoe.

"Maybe."

I walk away. By the library, I buy a soda. And all I remember seeing was a 'buy the homecoming shirt' right before I black out.
