i don't remember anything specific from that night, i just vividly remember that me and john b we're driving near shoreside along the bridge onto the harbour,
we were playing music and talking to eachother.

and no there's nothing going on between between of us, to put it simply john b is my older cousin, our dads went missing in the royal merchant looking for the gold. like big john, my dads been presumed dead and it's just been me and my mum ever since.

i don't like my mum. so i just hang out with john b and his group of pogues instead,
he makes me feel like i'm worth something. anyways, enough of the family talk and back to last night.

i just remember seeing him,

he was staring down at the sea below standing on the edge of the bridge. "john b," i said as i turned the music down and pointed at him, clearly drunk, john b just turned the music up and told me to keep driving, not wanting to spook him, i kept going like every other selfish person on this harbour was doing.

when we arrived home that night nearly everyone was asleep apart from kie, who was sat out on the porch reading her book. "i was waiting for you two to eventually show up?" she said placing the marker in her book.
john b stumbled straight inside and i found him asleep on the couch when i looked through the window.

"kie," i said as the curly brunette turned to go inside. she just looked at me waiting for me to tell her. "the bridge," i blurted out. " there's a boy on the bridge," she looked confused as if why i'd care. "people kill themselves all the time round here sadie, it won't hurt to loose a couple more," said kie as she turned around to go inside, i grabbed her arm and flung her back around so her and her shell and beaded necklaces would face me again.

"kie, do you realise how bad this is! a person, a life, maybe a brother or son, is so unhappy, the worlds drained them for everything they have to offer yet they feel as if this is the way to deal with it."

kie took a deep sigh out and put her arm on mine, "fine, not as if i care the slightest but if it'd make u feel better describe him to me," we both sat down under the flickering and faded light on john b's porch and began talking. "john b wouldn't let me talk or go near him but from where we were driving he had messy blonde hair, his blue eyes pierced through the ocean, i don't know kie, should we go find him?"

she could tell i was freaking out by now but i still don't think she cared. "if hes still there in the morning i'll drive you down there, but right now i've had a little too many drinks,"
she says as she picks up the 4 empty beer bottles that sat next to the leg of her chair and tips them into her mouth as tiny dribbles of beer come pouring out. she switched the porch light off, and headed in.

"close the door behind you," she says as i grab the keys and lock it. i heard a kick and then a very loud "ahhh" coming from the living room. "get up" kie said as she hit the sleepy brunettes arm.

john b stood up and stumbled off to his room. kie pulled out the couch into a double bed and we both climbed in.

but i could never stop thinking about that thing a young girl like me should never had seen.
