Abyssal Lagiacrus is an exceptionally rare species of Lagiacrus found only in deep ocean waters. Unlike its cousins, its scales are a shiny black, and it seems to be bio-luminescent, meaning it is covered in vivid blue points of light which give off a natural glow. Its hood spines, horns, and dermal spikes share the same color as these glowing points, as does the inside of its mouth. Its eyes are a striking red color, which seem to glow in the dark waters that the leviathan dwells in.
Abyssal Lagiacrus is always in a fully charged state- meaning it can fire any number of electrical attacks from its dermal spikes and is able to fire stronger lightning blasts from its mouth. In addition to these enhanced electric attacks, the Abyssal Lagi has another unique ability that its cousins don't- it can use its serpentine body to spin in place and create underwater whirlpools which can deal heavy damage and take hunters' oxygen away.
Very little is known about the Abyssal Lagiacrus' behavior due to its extreme rarity. The only thing that is for sure is that it is much more aggressive than both of its counterparts, and those that go in search of it generally do not come back.
