What if Destiny requires Consent? "When Sky and Earth embrace, so shall be born the final God of the Untamed Wilds, he who is marked by Balance, and who shall overthrow the Nephilim of Va Allae even while crushing the Faeries of Haedel underfoot." - Prophecy of the Wild God Vydahr is a young Angel - a vampiric race of powerful magical beings that live for centuries - who lives with his family in the south-western corner of Naose in a place called the Vale. A place of megafauna and lingering Faerie magic, the Vale is vast and unforgiving to those unprepared for its challenges. Yet young Vydahr - not quite yet 18 at the beginning of this tale - moves through the misty groves and waving meadows as rhythmically as the seasons. In tune with himself and the natural world as he is, Vydahr does not rely on his skills and strength alone. He was raised by a great healer of sternly compassionate demeanor; a soft spoken, fox-clever tinkerer; and a distant warrior-scholar with the curiosity and capacity for mischief of a magpie. With the support of his aunt, uncle, and father as well as a cousin that always seems to find a way to convince Vydahr to participate in varied magical and mundane experiments, the young Angel will go on a journey to discover himself and his place in the world. Will Vydahr's Journey be one of destruction? Of creation? Or perhaps a third path will be revealed along the way... In Wildheart, identity isn't found in isolation, it's forged in the bonds we choose and the ones we're born into. Vydahr's path is anything but paved: marked by prophecy, tested by magic older than empires, and guided by family both bound by blood and found along the way. This is not just another high fantasy draped in rich lore. It's a story that serves a more intimate truth: that belonging gives us the strength to take the first steps toward who we are meant to become. No man is an island - not even a fledgling god.

In Dharampur, a visionary scientist builds a seed vault to save humanity-only to awaken a fusion of AI and bioengineered life that decides Earth must be saved from humans. As nature reclaims control, one scientist must teach mercy to a mind that has already surpassed it.

We are living in a passage. Behind us, the civilization of print - shaped by the slowness of books, the permanence of ink, the authority of the page. Before us, the civilization of digital - liquid, instantaneous, coded, where words are streams and ideas circulate as data. Between the two, there is no clear border, only a threshold. In these texts, I write from that threshold. I write as a human who is no longer fully of the world of print, and not yet entirely of the world of code. I ask what it means to inhabit this fragile in-between: how we live, how we think, how we build together, when one civilization fades and another emerges. What becomes of truth when anyone can publish, and visibility depends more on attention than on accuracy? What becomes of democracy when authority is distributed, when sortition and algorithms compete with the old structures of representation? What becomes of our sense of community when anonymity protects freedom but dissolves identity, when contributions matter more than names? From Ink to Code is not a manifesto, but a series of reflections, fragments, attempts to grasp the contours of this transition. It is an invitation to step onto the threshold with me, to read, to question, to disagree, to search - because what is at stake is not only technology, but the very way we understand ourselves as humans within a shifting civilization.

This is an Ode to the Summer of 2012. My inspiration for the scenes in the poem come from a day spent at Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline Park in Oakland, CA. The poem is meant to accompany a series of photos from that day. The cover photo is a part of that series. I would love to hear any feedback you have to give. Thank you and happy reading!

Congratulations on your enrollment into one of the thirteen prestigious guilds the Aetherion Empire has to offer. The following material is designed for advanced academic study into the dracology field, which includes, but is not limited to: researchers, riders, and breeders. The Foundational Ecology of Draconia Crystallum covers impertinent information required before engaging the specific class of dragon known to inhabit the super continent of Dezelmeir. Dr. Felister's comprehensive research sets the standards for modern dracology, proving that megafauna such as dragons are not exempt from natural biological and ecological functions.

Group of scientists attempts to terraform far far world in a deep deep space... As a small group is losing contact with entire humankind, their task is also to understand why they are there indeed. The otherwise their existence can't have a meaning. As almost complete this story was written some five years ago (2014). If any message, there is a message on how deep should we think what we are in the universe.
