*trigger warning, this poem is explicitly about assault and the power that takes from a woman*
•••
Suffocate my voice again
Keep the power that was never mine
You stole away something you can never give back
A change that girls want to avoid foreverI'll give you a blank face but I'm blinded with hate
Too many beers shouldn't excuse your mental state
Because my body isn't just an object to you
It's a place I call home
I wish to be alone
This place doesn't feel like mine anymore
Pieces of me broken
Scattered around the floorScrub these stains away
Bleach me until my body is mine again
There is no excuse for people like you
How dare you put unblinded power on another woman too
When will my body feel safe again
For I am trapped in a place that is no longer mine
This burning is melting me from the inside
We deserve to be heard.•••
