This face I see in the mirror is like a stranger to me. I can't recognize her anymore.

Maybe I need to close my eyes so I couldn't see her.

Seeing myself like this is such a painful experience.

I don't like it... the feeling like I'm about to cry, but since there are so many people around me, I have no choice but to stop it.

This is so annoying.

"There you go," a middle-aged women approach me.

This is Bernadette, workmate from my previous company and now working as an agent in a bank. Because of her help my bank loan was easily approved.

I raised my head and turned to her. She handed me some documents. That's where my attention focuses. Currently, I was there sitting politely in front of her desk.

"Your check was already deposited to that account. It will be posted tomorrow. One more thing make sure to pay your loan on time every month to avoid penalties and other charges. Here, fill this up and sign." She explained.

I just nodded and accepted the paper she handed me.

"Thanks."

"Of all the people I know who got their checks from the bank, you're the saddest one, may I ask why?"

Suddenly I startled.

"No, maybe I'm just tired." I smiled slightly at her.

"Why? What time did your event ended last night? Is that a wedding event again?"

"Yes, wedding event, we wrapped up about 12 am, maybe?" I answer while writing, thinking not sure about the time.

"Wow... you are really impressive! Full time office staff, and a par timer event singer. You earned a lot, so what's the purpose of your loan? Are you getting married? You are almost 30 years old, right?"

I was stunned for a moment. I wonder why people always expect a person to get married by the age of 30? It's just so annoying when people ask me that all the time.

"Hmmm... silent means yes. Congratulations! Don't forget to invite me, okay?" she smiled at me looking so happy and excited while I just nodded and smiled slightly at her again.

It seems that she could tell from my face that I was not happy with her question so she ended the topic immediately.

"Thank you so much."

I'm afraid she would ask me more questions so decided to leave immediately as soon as I finished my appointment there.

THE NEXT DAY...

"IS IT TRUE THAT SHE LEFT HER JOB? So what's her plan now?"

I heard a loud voice as soon as I enter the coffee shop. That's Liza my high-school friend. Were supposed to meet there with the rest of our friends. But I got a little bit late and I noticed them in the table near the glass window talking about me.

I don't know why but I suddenly sat down at the table near them. Good thing they didn't even notice me.

"As far as I know her boyfriend wants her to quit her job and just stay at home. He even wants to stop her from her par time work in events." Added by Trixie.
