We walked in hand and hand and she guided us into the sitting room, while ordering Matthew to go make the tea we sat down and she closed the door so Matthew wouldn't hear.
"So Melissa why did u come back looking for him all theses years later?" She asked looking up at us, I looked at her in shock "I'm sorry Lorraine but we didn't come looking for him he came to us and that's no word of a lie,it was against the papers we signed to look for him before his 16th birthday" she nodded and put her head in her hands "I no I'm Sorry I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions, it's just i got a shock when I seen you" danny looked at her "you have no idea how we reacted when he arrived at our door, neither of us spoke for at least 10 minutes" she let out a laugh as if she didn't believe us and then sat back and cradled her big bump.
She let out a sigh "ohhh this is not what I need when I have a baby on the way" I looked at danny and he did the same "em...Lorraine how did Matthew take the news about the baby?"
She looked at me and her face dropped "em he didn't take it to well to be honest, he asked if he was going to b replace or giving away again and then didn't talk to us for ages, why do u ask?"
I was a bit shocked I didn't think she would b so honest with us, we both looked at one another "when Matthew appeared at our door earlier he had and over night bag with him"
She was a shocked by this statement and with the silence Matthew walked in to ask how we liked our tea we answered at with that he left the room again
"Lorraine I no this is hard for you too but he came up to us today as he said himself 'he wanted to know answers' about why we gave him up, I'm sorry Lorraine but he's to young to understand this could really upset him, to know what REALLY happened" she nodded and Matthew walked in.
"So what's going on" he began to spoke "am I going to be staying with you for a little bit and then back to mum and dad and can we work it like that, I don't want to be in the way with the new baby on the was it's simple so it's sorted" he said with a big smile. this was going to break my heart even more when I gave him up.
We all gave him a sympathetic smile and looked at each other I held his hand as he sat down beside me "I'm sorry darling it's not that simple, danny and I travel the country and work around the world sometimes and we've got a baby on the way too, plus there's a load of paper work to sort out and by law danny nor I are ment to have any contact with you until after you're 16th birthday I'm sorry darlin" his face fell into quite shock "but...but..youre my mum like my really mum, but I have so many questions and now I have to wait another year and a bit that's not fair" and with that he fled from the sitting room, I knew this wasn't going to end well!
We all sat in back trying to figure out what we do "he's too young to know the truth, it will break him, we can't tell him not until he's old enough" and with the the sitting room door opened and there stood Matthew he looked down and tapped his foot from left to right "I am old enough go know the truth I will understand please just tell me"
