"Eren Jaeger, get your ass in here right now!" Mom hollered viciously, pointing at the ground in front of her. On the couch behind her, I saw Dad with his glasses off, rubbing his temples. Reluctantly, I slipped my shoes off and made my way over to her. "Do you realize what time it is?" she spat. Seething through her teeth, she pointed at the clock on the wall. "It is 12:07, mister. Twelve. Oh. Seven. You said you'd be home at eleven."

Hey, that rhymes, my idiotic, teenage brain thought. Seven, eleven. Get it?

"Oh, uh... Yeah... Sorry?" I mumbled, scratching my neck. Mom's eyes widened in fury. "You-" she started, but Dad cut her off. "Son, you broke your word, plain and simple," he said, his tone softer than Mom's. "We won't punish you since it's the first time, though we should. Just don't let it happen again, okay? Now go get some sleep." I nodded, silently thanking him, and made my way upstairs to my room.

As I laid on my bed, I recalled the night's events. Grinning like an idiot, I rolled over - fully dressed, mind you - and fell asleep.

The next day was Saturday, so I slept in until Levi woke me up with a phone call around eight.

"Whaaaat?" I wined groggily. Levi clicked his tongue, but I could hear a smile in his voice as he spoke. "Don't 'whaaaat' me, brat," he scolded. "I made plans. Be at my house by twelve."

Click.

I blinked, rubbing my eyes, and pulled the phone away from my ear. Sighing, I pushed my face into the pillow and groaned. "Why must he do this to me?" I muttered.

After a moment, I dragged myself out of bed and hopped along to the shower. When I got out, my stomach reminded me that I hadn't eaten breakfast. On the counter in the kitchen was a note from Mom saying that she and Dad would be gone for the weekend, which wasn't unusual for them.

Wearing nothing but a towel tied around my waist, I rummaged through the fridge and pulled out a bagel, then made my way back to my bedroom with it stuck between my teeth. I took two bites, set it on my desk, and got dressed - white Sleeping with Sirens shirt and worn blue jeans. Finishing the bagel, I sluggishly trudged over to the bathroom and ran my hand through my hair, pushing aside strands that were trying to attack my eyeballs.

After I brushed my teeth, I checked the clock and saw that I'd procrastinated enough that if I left right then, I'd only be about five minutes early, so I set out at a steady jog, which helped wake me up a bit more. The same man from the previous night greeted me yet again. "I presume you're here for Mr. Ackerman, young man?" he asked, grinning widely. I smiled, catching my breath, and nodded in silent gratitude as he opened the door and helped me with the elevator. "Have a nice day, sir," he said. "You too," I replied, smiling.

This time, I wasn't nearly as nervous to knock on Levi's door. In fact, I used the key he'd given me and walked right in, no warning given. Out of breath from jogging, I flopped onto the couch and threw an arm across my face. Vaguely, I could hear a shower running, which for some reason made me smile. I could be such an asshole and scare the poop out of him, I thought, smirking. After stealing a bottle of water from the fridge, I went with my plan and pressed my back flat against the wall beside the hallway where the shower sounds were coming from. I stood there for less than a minute before the water stopped, and a moment later, the door opened. I almost lost my cool, giddy with nervousness and excitement. He's gonna be so pissed, but it'll totally be worth it.

Footsteps padded closer...and closer...until I finally saw a few strands of black hair. I stepped out in front of him and extended my arms out so that he crashed into my chest and I enveloped him in a hug. "Hi, Leviiiiii!" I exclaimed, squeezing gently. His whole body was tense, but he eventually hugged me back. "I would like to inform you that you now have the pleasure of knowing that you have given me the biggest scare of my life," he mumbled into my shirt, making me laugh. "Happy to be of service," I replied. Levi rolled his eyes and made his way to the kitchen, rubbing a towel against his damp hair. The way his skin glistened with moisture turned me on a bit, but I mentally glared at my pen!s and told it to settle down. Not now, I thought.

"You want a drink?" he called. I held up my water bottle. "Nah, I snagged some poison from your fridge earlier," I smiled. "Of course you did," he muttered sarcastically, getting out a Coke Zero for himself and working his way to the living room, where he sat on the couch and leaned his head back. A soft grin settled on my lips as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and kissed his neck. Words alone could never describe how much I loved him. In every way possible, he made me happy. I saw us together thirty years from then, old yet just as happy as we were then. I hoped beyond all hope that he felt the same. "I love you," I mumbled against his skin, breathing in his scent - fresh mint body wash and raspberry shampoo, plus the faint smell of citrus facial wash. A rather fruity smell.

Oh, the irony.

(If you don't get that joke, you're lame.)

Levi took a deep breath and turned his face slightly to give me a gentle kiss on the forehead. "I love you, too, brat," he whispered. I grinned wider and lifted my head more to look into his eyes. For a moment, I lost my thoughts, staring into his beautiful grey orbs, but then I remembered. "So...you had plans?"

Bleh. What is it with me and bad endings? It's making me sad... Anyhoo, hope you liked it. Sorry it took me a while. Writer's block hit me baaaaaaaad. I basically wrote this chapter in less than an hour, with barely any breaks in between except to take a walk with my sis, so it was a total of and hour with an hour-long break in between... That's confusing... Ok, forget I said it. All that matters is that I wrote it and it's here :)
