EIGHTEEN: Mission gone wrong

JARVIS INTERCOM SYSTEM: All avengers to the quinjet in 5 minutes. I repeat all avengers to the quinjet in 5 minutes.

Peter burst into your room suit on and ready to go. "Ari what you doing we need to get to the quinjet."

"Why? I'm not an avenger."

"Come on you can't be serious?"

"I quit. You were there when it happened why would you think I wasn't serious."

"I mean you're okay with me again right, and you talk to Wanda and Nat-"

"Doesn't mean I'm part of the team again. I would rather not be around any of 'them' especially if it can be avoided."

"Ari it's been 2 months now since this all kicked off." He protests. You just give him a look and he knows he won't win this argument. "Will you at least have an earpiece on hand." You sigh in frustration. "Fine. But only for you."

Once the avengers have gone you make your way down to the lab. You decided you could hack into there intercoms and camera systems and watch the action. They don't need to know you're there. You connect your earpiece as requested but wire it through the computer system so Peter is on loud speaker. You start a separate channel so only he can hear you.

"Sup loser! You guys look like you're shitting a brick. By the way you doing okay? I know you hate flying." Peter's eyes widen with the sound of your voice he's trying to hold a laugh back. He tilts his head to the side and quietly whispers in response. "Ari what the fuck you doing?"

"Well I decide to watch the show. I've hacked the intercoms I'll be able to hear everyone's conversation, connected to the cameras and body cams. Ima have myself a good time watching this shit show." This time Peter does laugh out loud causing a few funny lucks from the rest of the gang. Wanda looks over giving Peter an intense look. He knows she's trying to read is mind but he tries to think of anything but his conversation with you.

*Peters mind*

Wanda it won't work. I won't tell you what I'm laughing at. Hmm maybe it's Loki's hair, or maybe that Nat and Bucky are getting hanzi with each other. Wait ewww! No man that's gross! Think I'm gonna be sick. God Peter stop looking. Ew. STOP! Oh man I can't wait to tell Ari over the earpiece about this. Ah shit no wait. Oh for fuck sake you heard me right. Dammit you know Ari's in my earpiece watching us all. Oh man Peter. Just. Shut. Up.

Wanda too let's out a laugh before moving over to Peter. She leans into Peters ear with the earpiece whispering "I know your secret Ari."

"Oh come on Peter you told her! Dude even in your mind you're a terrible secret keeping. Also can someone please put a stop to Nat and Bucky. They're making me nauseous." Peter and Wanda laugh together leaning into each other.

"Okay what is so funny you guys. Peter you've been acting strange since the moment we set off and Wanda well you best keep your mind reading to a minimum." Tony snaps in frustration.

"LOL! I'm glad I'm not there." You speak into Peters ear. "Oh shut up." Peter says maybe just a little too loud. "Did you just tell me to shut up young man"

"Shit! No dad I wasn't I swear."

"Kinda sounded like that boy."

"Ahahahaah this is brilliant." Into Peters ear once more. He taps his ear to mute you both. Okay I kinda deserved that.

30 minutes later and they land at their destination.
