Baby's POV:

Unfortunately, Mitchell had left the blinds open when he'd made his great escape, so the sun was bright and shining right into my face. I squeezed my eyes tight shut, but then it only gave me a headache. I rolled over onto my side, finally opening my eyes when I realized that I wasn't going to be getting much more sleep.

The space that Tori had taken on the floor was now empty. The blankets that she'd slept with were folded and in a pile, with the pillow on top. I rubbed my eyes, not caring about the makeup that I'd just smeared all over my hand. I slung my legs over the side of the bed, sitting up and exhaling sharply.

It wasn't until I stood up that I noticed a crumpled piece of paper sitting on top of the pile that she'd left. I reached down, grabbing the note. Her bubbly half-cursive, half-print handwriting filled the page.

"Hey, didn't wanna wake you, but I'm headed to Mitchell's. See ya girl. (;" was scritchscratched over the page.

I rolled my eyes, suddenly feeling slightly angry, because of two reasons.

Reason number one: I'd been up all night, reliving the moment between Mitchell and I. It just kept playing over and over in my mind as if it were a movie. I had every single touch and movement memorized. I hadn't fallen asleep until nearing sunrise because I couldn't stop thinking about it. But obviously, he was capable of falling asleep. Obviously he hadn't been thinking about it.

Reason number two: He'd just spent part of his night last night with our bodies intertwined, kissing me. Now he actually had the nerve to go off and hang out with my best friend? I mean, sure they were dating, but how could he do that to me? He'd known me before her. He didn't realize I had his whole relationship in the palm of my hand with this secret.

I was so mad.

So, so mad.

I groaned out loud, dropping onto my back on the bed. I grabbed my pillow, shoving it over my face. Maybe I could just lay here all day. My stomach rumbled in an objection, so I threw the pillow off me and looked up at the ceiling. I stood up, making my way into the kitchen.

I threw the fridge door open, much harder than I'd meant to, and the door flew open, making a crash sound as it hit the counter and shook all of the contents in the fridge door. I turned around as I heard someone enter the kitchen. Spencer was walking toward the open fridge. He reached in, grabbing the milk out, and walked to the cupboard.

I grabbed the turkey out, wanting a sandwhich, and slammed the door shut. Spencer merely glanced at me as he poured his milk and returned it to the fridge. I wanted him to ask me what was wrong, but he was obviouisly oblivious. I made an effort to angrily open the bread and slam it down onto the counter. He grabbed the milk, taking a drink.

"Ugh, stupid." I grumbled.

He sighed, setting the cup down after having chugged the milk. "Alright... something bothering you, Baby?" He asked, leaning his head to the side.

I sighed, leaning against the counter. Now that he finally had asked me, I didn't even know what to say.

"Yeah." I shrugged.

"What happened?"

"I don't know."

"Do you want to talk about it...?"

"Not really." I sighed, but honestly. I did. "I dunno. Tori's dating Mitchell."

"Tori?!" Spencer laughed. "I mean, I knew they went on that date, but they're actually together now?" He dropped the cup into the sink, shaking his head. "Man, he never ceases to surprise me with the girls he chooses. They have to be so desperate, with the way he goes through girls. Makes me wonder why I don't have a girlfriend. Maybe I'll just start being an asshole to girls and see how far that gets me."

Now I felt slightly defensive, because I was one of those 'desperate' girls. "Okay, maybe not?" I lowered my eyebrows. "I mean, they seem pretty happy together."

"Well, kudos to him then." He faked taking off a hat and nodding before walking away.

Mitchell’s POV:

I leaned my head back on the couch as I ran my fingers up and down Tori’s bare legs softly. I was sitting upright, and she was lying with her head on the armrest of the chair and her feet stretched out over my lap. We were watching some Judge show that I wasn’t particularly interested in, but it didn’t matter much to me because I wasn’t really watching.

I leaned my head to the side, looking Tori over. She was pretty cute.

I started at her toes, painted some ugly green color. Her feet were soft and tiny, and they connected to a pair of long tan legs. I followed her legs up to her torso. She was wearing red shorts and a white T-shirt. Her long slender arms were folded behind her head, her hands intertwining in her long fire engine red hair. Her hair matched her shorts and her lipstick, and it made her look pretty badass. And hott.

She had her head leaned back, revealing her kissable neck, and my eyes found her lips, also quite kissable. Her eyes were a dark emerald color, almost like a color you’d only hear of in books. But she was real and right in front of me, and this was breathtaking.

Her eyes flickered over to mine, catching me staring. The corners of her lips turned up into a tight smirk, biting her lip softly. She raised her eyebrow, silently asking me what I was doing. I simply shrugged.

She sat up on her knees, lifting one leg over mine so she was sitting up and straddling my waist. It was my turn to raise my eyebrow. She slid her arms down my shoulders, settling her hands on my biceps. She squeezed slightly, giggling. Her eyes dropped to my lips. So, taking the hint, I leaned in. She immediately put her lips on mine, kissing me soft and sweetly. She pulled back, a huge grin on her face.

Yeah, she was pretty cute.

But she wasn’t Baby.
