Baby's POV:
At the end of the night, and finally after escaping Mitchell's watchful eye, Christian and I started walking toward my house. We walked side by side in the dark, quietly. He stumbled every so often, due to all the alcohol intake. We bumped hands a few times, each time making me blush. Finally, he snaked his fingers in between mine and we held hands the entire way home.
"Do you want to come in?" I asked, chuckling at my cheesy high school, first date movie scene in all the teen movies.
"Are your parents home?" He asked.
I shook my head no. "They had a business meeting, and I think it's supposed to take them a little while tonight."
He smiled. "Then sure. I just didn't want to leave a bad impression, since I've been with their daughter. I didn't want them to see me drunk." He laughed.
I smiled, pushing the door open. All the lights were off. No one was home. Christian followed in behind me and headed toward the living room. I walked in behind him and sat down on the couch opposite of the one he was on. He cocked his head to the side, and I raised my eyebrow.
"What?"
"Why aren't you sitting beside me?" He grinned.
"Sorry." I smiled, getting up and moving beside him.
He grinned over at me. "Much. Better."
I smiled. "So...do you want to watch a movie?"
"Sure." He looked up at the television. "Got any good movies?"
I shrugged. "I don't know."
I made my way to the TV stand. I looked through the stacks of movies and couldn't really find anything I felt that he'd be interested in.
"They're all romance."
He shrugged. "Go ahead and put one in. It might spark some romance here." He winked.
I smiled, grabbing A Walk To Remember. Always one of my favorites. I put it in the DVD player and stood on my tippy-toes, turning off the ceiling fan. I put myself back beside him after hitting play on the remote.
He leaned back into the couch, and I did the same. He put his arm around me, and I leaned into him. I smiled at the closeness.
"Hey, uh...Baby?"
I looked up at him. "Yeah?"
"You've just...grown up a lot. It's weird. But I have this really big urge to...to kiss you." He finished off, as if it hurt him.
"So do it." I spoke quietly.
He smiled, holding me closer to him. He lifted my chin up softly, bringing my lips closer and closer to his. The anticipation was killing me.
"Oh, hey Christian! I didn't know you'd be over." Mitchell interupted, flipping on another light. "Spencer! Christian's over here." He yelled down the hallway.
"Oh, cool. Hey Chris!" Spencer spoke loudly as he made his way into the room.
I quickly jumped away from Christian, and leaned on the other side of the couch. I sighed, and looked over at him. He had a disapproved look on his face. I shrugged silently.
"What are you guys doing?" Mitchell asked, walking closer to us.
Most people would hear what he said, as in what we were doing at the moment. But I heard what he really meant. What we were doing, that he'd interupted. I knew that he knew what we'd been doing, and I wanted to kick him in the dick for ruining it.
"Watching a movie." Christian said, montone.
"Care if we join?" Spencer asked, grabbing a bag of popcorn and putting it in the microwave.
"Yeah, can we?" Mitchell prodded, dropping onto the couch in between Christian and I.
I sighed, heavily. Spencer genuinely didn't know he was interupting something, but I knew damn well that Mitchell did.
Well played, my friend.
Using my brother against me.
The smell of butter and popcorn flooded through the air. The popping slowed to almost a halt, and he grabbed it out of the microwave. He grabbed a big bowl and spilled the contents until the bowl was filled up to the rim. He carried it in and sat it down on the table.
"What are you watching?" He asked, sitting on the other couch by himself.
"A Walk To Remember." I answered.
"Seriously?" Spencer asked. "Can you get any gayer?"
He hopped back up and stopped the movie, pulling out the disk. After sloppily putting it into some other movies case, he grabbed another movie, putting it in. He hit play when the menu for some war movie came on. I groaned.
A few movies later, some dealing with armies and others being pathetic comedies, Spencer was sprawled out on the other couch, and Christian was barely awake. I kept glancing at Mitchell, waiting for him to fall asleep so I could get Christian, and finally have alone time with him.
I looked over as I heard a chuckle.
Mitchell was smirking and eating popcorn, staring straight at the movie. Beside him, Christian had his head on the arm of the couch and drool was escaping his lips.
"Your little plan didn't work, did it?" He grinned, still not breaking away from the movie.
"Ugh." I groaned. "You're so unbelievable."
I stood up, grabbed a handful of popcorn, and threw it in his face. Sadly, it didn't wipe away the stupid grin that was plastered on his face. I huffed and made my way to my bedroom. I slammed my door shut.
Asshole.
