Baby’s POV:

Seeing as I’d slept most of the day after catching up with my family, I was now awake at 2:35 A.M and no intention of going back to sleep. I yawned, getting up out of bed. No one would be awake right now, surely. I made my way across the room that still mirrored my fourteen year old self.

I pulled open my top drawer and searched through the piles of underwear and socks. I sighed in relief after finding the bathing suit I’d thought I might’ve left in Australia.

I pulled off the pajama pants and tank top I was wearing, dropping them into a pile beside me. I also shed my bra and underwear in the same pile, replacing them with a black and yellow zebra print bikini. I grabbed a hair tie off of my dresser and pulled my hair up into a loose bun, grabbing a towel and heading downstairs.

I tip toed through the living room, making sure to avoid any creaking boards. I gasped, almost making a noise, when I accidently kicked a large lump in the floor that had blended in with the darkness. I squinted my eyes, leaning over and listening. Soft snoring escaped the comforter that covered the lump of man that I now realized was Mitchell.

I stepped over him once I was sure I hadn’t woken him up and made my way to the back door. I pushed it open, shivering a little as the cold kissed my skin, leaving goose bumps in its path. I shut the door behind me slowly and quietly and then padded along the concrete that surrounded our underground pool that I’d missed so dearly.

I made my way over to the small table that was under our canopy and sat my towel on the back of the chair. I turned on the pool lights and made my way over to the side of the pool, standing beside it. I smiled, sitting down at the edge and letting my feet dip in the water. I sighed happily as the slightly windy air whipped little pieces of hair that hadn’t been able to fit in the bun all around my face.

Everything was dark except for the soft glowing of the water. I looked down at it. The soft ripples from the wind, and the clearness of it. I’d miss certain aspects of Australia, such as the beach, but this would suffice. I lifted my weight up on my hands and slid my figure into the water. I sucked in my breath as if it would make the water any warmer, but to no avail I just stood in the water with my arms wrapped around myself.

Once my body had gotten used to the temperature, I started to swim around slowly, still chilly. I ducked under the water and swam into the deep end. I made my way under the diving board and let myself surface, grabbing onto it, smiling as the cold night air hit my face.

Mitchell’s POV:

My eyes opened; a little upset to open them to darkness.

What time is it?

I grabbed my phone, glancing at the time. It was only around 2:50. I sighed, pulling the comforter over my face. I tried to force my body to relax so I could fall asleep, but the deep grumbling in my stomach was keeping me awake. I hadn’t eaten dinner because I no longer felt hungry as my mind kept replaying the incident between Baby and I. Her body against mine.

Ugh, chill it Mitch.

I pushed the thought aside and pushed the covers off of me, standing up. I used my phone for light and shined it over the heap on the couch where Spencer had once been sleeping. I scoffed at the fact that he’d gone to his bed and hadn’t even woken me up to tell me I could sleep on the couch.

I groaned softly, stretching out, suddenly able to feel how uncomfortably I’d been sleeping.

I made my way to the kitchen, opening the fridge door. I squinted my eyes, the light being too much for my eyes that had adjusted to the darkness. I searched the contents, settling on some salsa I found. I pulled out the jar and left the door open for light.
