chapter eleven

NEXT MORNING. TIME SKIP AFTER JOHN B AND KAT TOOK THE COP CAR.

KATHERINE POV.

After me and John stole the cop car we arrived at my house, we quickly got out and ran around back seeing my parents and my sister and our friends waiting for us.

" No f'ing way." Pope yelled as he saw us, me and John B ran towards them as we all pulled each other into a hug for a moment before releasing each other. " Alright you gotta get off this island kid, we got everything packed in there for you" My dad said as he patted John B back, we made are way towards the boat and John B hopped inside and grabbed his backpack from Kiara.

" Wait!" John B said making us all stop, he looked at me for a moment and held his hand out. I looked at him in shock before looking back at my parents and sister who motion their heads for me to go with him, I smiled with tears threaten to fall from my face before hopping on the boat with him. " We can't have you going along now kid, take care of my daughter" Jackson said as he pulled John B into a hug.

" Ange, Kiara come here" I said as the both ran towards me and pulled into a tight hug. " I love you guys" I said as they both start crying, the boys quickly came over to us and it turned into a big group with my parents watching from afar. " We love you guys too" Kiara said as he pulled back out the hug, Angelina looked at me with sad eyes making me hug her again. " Hey Maybank, take care of my sister" I said as I looked at him, he nodded his head as tears fell from his eyes before he pulled me into a hug.

" Thanks for the best summer ever blondie" I whispered in his ear before pulling away making him smile, my dad started to Untie the boat as John B started the engine up.
" You guys got plenty of gas, plenty of food. Once you get around that point, it's a straight shot across the sound to Dismal Swamp, okay?" JJ explained to me as John B stood behind me listening.

" Once you get there, lay low, all right? Hang out for a couple of weeks and then go overland, cross the border at Brownsville, you got that?" JJ said as I nodded my head and repeated 'Brownsville'. " Hey. Hey. I'm sorry for basically... throwing us off a cliff with this whole treasure hunt thing." John B said from behind me as I stood up straight and held his hand, my dad pushed the boat a bit backwards before him and my mother smiled at me.

" Hey, John B, yo... we were bound to run off a cliff at some point, right?" JJ shouted making us all laugh before we stared at each other one last time. " At least we did it together, though." I said making them all smile. " P4L BABY!" John B shouted making us all shout it. " Get out of here you two! Please. Now. We'll see you in two months, down in Mexico." Kiara said as she blew a kiss at me and I blew one back. " I LOVE YOU ANGELINA!" I shouted as John B went to go start the boat up again. " I LOVE YOU TOO KATHERINE!" Angelina shouted back at me as tears fell down my face.

" You take care of our little girl John B" My mom shouted back making John B that he promised. As John B pulled off I watched as my family and friends got smaller and smaller until I whispered 'goodbye Angelina' .

" It's like the entire sheriff's department. Holy shit." I said as I looked over the boat on land at the red and blue lights flashing and a lot of people standing, John B cams beside me and mumbled 'shit'. " We'll go dark and let the tide pull us out." John B said making me nod my head softly, it was night time already and little cold due to us being in the middle of the ocean.

" Hey. Hey, we're gonna make it. We just gotta go north through the swamp, then we just follow the... Follow the North Star." John B said as he pointed up at the sky, I looked were he was pointing up before smiling. Suddenly I heard thunder and next minute I know all the lights was coming back on, I gasp before hitting John B arm.
