"damn this is nice." you muttered as you walked into the house, quiet enough that billie wouldn't hear.
she didn't like to show off her money, and you didn't want her to think you were using her for her money, because that wasn't true.
"wow. i haven't been here in forever." she sighed as she dropped her bags on the ground. "i think the last time i came was me and stephen's fifth anniversary. god that was like three years ago."
"what do you do with it when you're not here? it seems to be in good shape."
"when i first bought it i rented it out, but now i just pay for monthly housekeeping. it's easier that way."
"it's nice."
"come on, i'll show you around." she picked up her bags and began to walk up the stairs.
you followed her with your bags, and she led you into a large room.
"this is the master, the guest room is slightly smaller but has a balcony and essentially the same bathroom, so you pick."
it was bad, but your mind instantly shot to sex on the balcony.
"guest room then?"
"perfect." she smiled and again, made her way through the hallway.
the room had a queen bed in the center of it, with a connected bathroom and walk in closet, and a giant glass door that led to an open balcony. it was gorgeous.
"uh- there's a pool and hot tub outside. i know it's kind of weird since the beach is right there but-"
you could tell she was stressed and awkward about showing you the house.
"billie, it's okay." you took her hands. "it's perfect. i would love it even if it was a shack in the middle of the woods."
she laughed and rolled her eyes at you. "i love you."
"i love you too."
"now, you can put your bags down in here and we can go grab something to eat."
