With the time coming and going, I started trying to find the right time to ask Ash to go out with me somewhere that being too get to know him more, it was obvious we both had some feelings for each other, we just needed to blurt them out to each other
I went days just thinking about the perfect excuse to talk to him

I had the day off today so I was home the whole day really, until something caught my eye as I looked out the window of my room
I noticed Ash getting his bike he was probably going to work so I jumped out of my spinny chair and went downstairs I catch up to him

"hey Ash" I said going to him from behind
"y-you scared me" he let out an uneasy chuckle
"sorry, I didn't mean to" I shook my head with a smile
"it's okay, you needed something?" he gave me one of his genuine smiles
"I just wanted to know if you'd like to hangout sometime when you aren't busy" I smiled
"uh sure, when exactly?" he smiled once more
"I was thinking Saturday? my grandpa said that he'd like me to go clean our beach house out south for the upcoming summer, so if you'd like we can just do that together?" I shrugged
"s-sure" he smiled
"deal then" I smiled back

"I got to go now" he gestured after a small silence between us
"yeah no worries, take care of yourself bye" I smiled as he nodded
"I will, you too bye" he said before getting on his bike putting on his helmet and biking away

– Time Skip To Saturday –

"hey Mrs. Ketchum, is Ash ready? We're going to be cleaning my beach house" I smiled
"yes of course, Ash! Gary's here!" she called out
"I'm coming!" I heard him call back
"come in, you know Ash he takes forever" she giggled
"I know" I chuckled as I entered their home

"so how's Ash's health?" I asked
"good, thankfully, he hasn't had any trouble since his kidney surgery" she smiled
"I'm glad, I remember how he'd be sick very often" I frowned
"me too, but I'm glad he's now well" she smiled lightly as I nodded with a smile

"okay, ready!" Ash said after coming down the stairs and put his big bag by the staircase
"Ash honey isn't that too much for one night?" his mom blinked
"no! It has my sunscreen and clothes for the day" he pouted
"whatever" she sighed
"you two have a good time" she smiled
"we will" I smiled as we left

"so this the beach house?" Ash smiled as we walked in once we arrived
"yeah, pretty small" I chuckled with a shrug
"yeah" he smiled and started taking out cleaning materials
"how about we eat first then clean, that way we don't get too dirty" I smiled
"okay" he nodded

We ate which we made our own pizza and just talked
"so do you like your job?" Ash suddenly asked
"yeah, it's pretty easy, and good pay you know" I smiled with a shrug
"oh I see, how much an hour?" he blinked
"$15" I shrugged
"$15??" his eyes grew
"y-yeah" I blinked
"is that bad?" I added
"no, not at all that's good, it's just that I get paid $10 at the cafe" he sighed embarrassed
"oh I see, you should apply where I am, it's pretty easy" I smiled
"what do you do there?" he blinked once explains the job to him he seemed convinced
"hm maybe I'll consider it" he smiled
"I can put a word in for you" I smiled
"it's okay, don't worry, but thank you" he smiled

After cleaning we walked along the beach and talked more
"so how's your health? I know I ask you that a lot" I chuckled
"it's okay, it's good" he smiled as I smiled and got closer to the shores and he followed
"I'm sure the water is cold, it's only September" he giggled
"maybe, how about we test it" I chuckled splashing him
"hey!" he giggled and splashed me back
