Rouges pov

As we were heading to Shadow's place, the rain poured like crazy. Sheesh, I was getting my make-up all wet. This wasn't water proof either. "I sure picked the wrong day to not wear waterproof makeup" I thought to myself as I stared in front of me watching the boys walk a little faster.

"Hey guys, I'll see you later. I'm gonna head back to my place before my makeup starts to run. So I'll catch up with you guys later" I said as I tried to cover my head so the rain wouldn't wet my eyes. Make isn't cheap, you know.

Shadow scoffed at me, which made me chuckle "Aw come on, a girl has gotta keep her appearance beautiful" i replied putting my hands in my hips smirking.

"Whatever" Shadow said as he led Omega to his place. With all this rain, I'm pretty sure Omega hasn't been up to date with his repairs and software. When is there ever time with all missions, I don't think we've kept a close eye on him.

I should ask Tails another time to check him, see if he needs anything fixed. A distraction would be good for him. After today I mean.

The little fox must be upset right now to even wanna be around anyone, especially us. I know we aren't friendly to the freedom fighters but this time they deserved to feel guilty.

I just hope the little fox is okay. Knuckie actually did something right by beating the crap out of Blue earlier. But still he jumped the gun like Sonic and Sally. I think it's time for that talk with him.

As I was making my way to my place, I noticed somebody waiting by my place.

Speaking of the Knucklehead, it was him. Talk about weird timing too.

Knuckie stood by the door with a red umbrella, he wasn't paying attention it looked like he was lost in thought.

When I got closer he looked at me and smiled softly. What a change of mood.

I returned it but frowned afterwards, remembering what had happened earlier.

I was still upset with him, he could have at least done something about Sonic and Sally. But shit happens.

As I walked passed him and got my keys out.

"Knuckie, why don't you come inside for a bit. Before you catch a cold"I said as I sighed and gestured to him to come in.

"Um Thanks" he replied as he followed me inside my house. He folded the umbrella and placed it on the side of the door as he closed the front door.

"Go ahead and make yourself at home. I'll just be a second. I need to freshen up." I said as I turned to look at him from behind.

He nodded as I walked upstairs to change out of my soaking wet clothes into something dry.

10 minutes later

As I came back down from my room I saw a flower and jewel on the coffee table. I gasped as I flew down quickly to take a look, I smiled as I picked it up. It was a piece of the master emerald and it was made into a pendant.

I looked around frantically looking for knucklehead, to ask him why he did this.

But no one was here, his umbrella was gone.

He must have left while I was changing.

I noticed a note under the flower. I walked towards it as i picked up reading it to myself.

Rouge

I wanted to give you this for apologizing for being a knucklehead as you call me.

But I'm really sorry for what I did, If i knew that it would only hurt Amy. I wouldn't have gone through with it. Sonic and Sally made it clear she needed to have a normal life and I was willing to let her have that life. But it only hurt her more. I promise you, we will find her. I swear on my life I will do whatever it takes to find her. So tomorrow can you come by Angel Island, so we can come up with a plan to find her. I'll be waiting

Knuckles

As tears rolled down my eyes, I felt bad for yelling at him. "He really does care, He even proved to me by giving me a piece of the master emerald" I say kinda choked up about how beautiful this was.

Knuckie you really are sweet.

The next day in the morning.

As I made my way to Angel Island wearing the pendant Knuckie gave me, I could see the Master Emerald from above. I saw Knuckles waiting patiently for me. As I hovered from above he looked up and saw me.

"Hey, Did you get my message?" He replied as he smiled at me.

"You sure know how to talk to a girl Knuckie, But yes I did." I replied as I landed next to him.

"So?" He asked as waited for me to reply.

"Yes, Knuckie. I believe you. This proved more than you think it did." I say as I gave him a soft gaze with a warm smile.

He held my hands close to him as he looked at me with determination

"I promise, We'll find her" he said as he let go.

We nodded and I flew us off Angel Island.

We began our journey to search for Amy.
