It has been about 4 years since they stopped searching for Amy Rose, this made everyone of the Sonic team give up and loose hope. At this rate The Freedom Fighters had to stop the search they had to except the worst even if it was true…...

Morbius pub

It had been a long disappointing 4 years for the Echidna who was in a slump, feeling he lost his self esteem. Along with  his promise to the girl he really cared about more than he could describe.

"Another beer please (hic) on the (hic) ROCKS '' he said as he slammed the glass down on the table. 

The waiter took the glass and went to get the fallen echidna guardian another beer. He was drowning his sorrows in beer. 

Every now and then Knuckles would go off to the morbius pub to drink the pain away. He didn't have a care in the world as he let the beer do it's work, until the effects of the alcohol wore off when he would wake up sober with a hangover in an alley or in the forest laying under a tree. As he would do it all over again. 

He practically would sleep all day and drink all night, the brave guardian was a mess. But not as bad as his heart had felt,  the one he loved didn't even wanna look at him or speak with him. Rouge hardly spoke to him since they all gave up the search. He would send out flowers, to show the white bat that he would still try. But he would still get no reply, this made him feel more regret as he still felt ashamed of what he had done.

 Sonic was still to blame as everybody wanted nothing more than to never see the blue hedgehog again. Knuckles included, the guardian didn't even wanna be in the same room as him. Sonic tried but it nearly got him sent to the hospital as Knuckles almost lost it. Since Sally was gonna be queen soon and with Sonic dating the future queen of the Acorn Kingdom, it was hard to even consider not wanting to kill the blue hedgehog.

"Here you are sir" a morbian waiter said as he placed a cold clean icy glass of beer by the red echidna, who slumped on the table. He touched the glass as he held it and grabbed the beer as he drank. 

"Thanks pal (hic) you're a lifesaver (hic)" Knuckles said as he licked his lips and was about to drink when he heard someone behind him walk up to him.

It was Vector, he was surprised that the echidna was drinking at the pub.

"Hey buddy, how are you holding up?" The green crocodile asked as he sat next to him.

The red echidna didn't reply; he just stared at his glass as he lowered his head down.

"Not so good huh?" Vector replied as he ordered himself a glass of Jim beam in the rocks.

"Hey chin up, we're not gonna give up on our search. We'll find her Knuxs" he said as he drank his drink, patting the red echidna's shoulder. This just made the guardian feel worse. How could he even feel happy or even have hope? His friend was gone and it was all his fault. No it was Sonic's, but this was so much of his fault because he let the blue hero talk him into it.

He should have knocked Sonic out when he had the chance. 

The red echidna took a drink of his beer, as this startled the green crocodiles. He hated to see a good morbian fall so low, especially into alcohol. It never fixes anything.

Vector took another drink and left some money on the bar table for his bill for the drink.

"Hey man you really should take it easy on that beer, look I gotta be back at the office. Duty calls, so try not to get too drunk dude." The detective said as he patted Knuckles on the back gently as he walked off to the front door.
