Here I am back at Jason's house with his clothes folded in my hands (I "accidentally" left the black sweatshirt at home. It was just too comfortable). His house looks different in the daytime. The modern home at night was illuminated by the house lights around the exterior making it look elegant. Now the house looks like a regular home.

Most of the houses on this street are moderately big and new.

Jason's house has large windows and is black with white accents.

I go to ring the doorbell but the door opens before I can push it.

A tall girl with long black hair and light side bangs opens the door.

"You must be Lucia!! I'm SO excited." She says as she pulls me into the house. "Mine name is Kelsey."

She drags me passed the stairs and into the kitchen where she has set up all the ingredients for cookies out on the island.

She turns to me with a huge smile.

"I thought we could make cookies."

I look back to the ingredients then back to her.

"Unless you're gluten free. Then I brought gluten free flour from my house. OH! And Jason has almond milk we could use if you don't like diary."

I smile. "That sounds lovely, Kelsey, thank you."

She look down at the clothes in my hands and frowns.

Shit. This must look bad.

"Oh. Oliver gave me some clothes during the Halloween party to crash in. I just assumed they were Jason's. I was just returning them." I say trying to explain to this girl who's been nothing but nice to me.

"Those Lucia, are actually Oliver's clothes." Jason says coming down the stairs.

Jason walks over and gives Kelsey a kiss on the head.

"He sometimes crashes at my place so he has extra clothes." Jason shrugs as he walks into the kitchen.

"OOo, are we making cookies?!!" Jason says as he takes a handful chocolate chips and dumps them into his mouth.

Kelsey swats at him "not if you keep eating the ingredients."

"Fine, fine, women I'll leave your precious chocolate alone.. for now." He says as he plucks one more chip from the bag and runs away laughing.

Kelsey and I get started on the batter while talking about aimless things. She's actually pretty great company and from what I've seen her and Jason fit really well with each other.

Jason comes in periodically to check if their done because Kelsey keeps insisting he leaves because he's going to "burn the cookies like last time".

"Last time was not my fault okay." He says.

"You forgot the timer!" She says back.

With the cookies finally in the oven Kelsey and I talk about our classes.

Later, Kelsey call for Jason to wash the dishes if he wants any cookies.

He pouts but walks over to the cookie dough bowl and starts for the sink. But before he gets there he takes a leftover clump of batter and smears it across her face.

She gasps in disbelief.

"Jason Rai. You better pray for your life. YOU. DID. NOT!" She shrieks as she take the hose from the sink and turns the tap on, aiming straight for Jason.

Jason tries to block the spray of water that was just as weak as you would expect it to be.

He walks over to Kelsey and grabs the hose from her and sprays her from above on the head as he grabs her waist.

Kelsey tried to wiggle out from his grip squealing.

She finally stops moving and looks at him.

"Kelsey Wong. You can't escape me that easily, babe." He smiles as he kisses her so gently under the mist of the water.

All the while I'm just sitting at the island stuffing my face with the cookies I pulled out of the oven.

I started tearing up when they kissed.

They obviously hear my sniffling and look over.

"You guys are so cute!" I say as I wipe my tears.

"We try." Jason shrugs as he gives Kelsey a lopsided grin and a peck on the lips.

Jason shakes out his wet hair onto Kelsey and she smacks him on the chest in return.

"I'm gonna go grab some towels before my parents come home to water damage."

Jason leaves and I twist my chair to look at Kelsey.

She smiles.

"Straight out of a movie." I comment.

Her smile gets bigger.
"He really is great. He makes me happy and I like to think I make him happy too y'a know?"

"Oh, I can't definitely see it on his face. I've only met him a few times and every single time he's mentioned you, it was like.. well I don't want to put words in his mouth but he had this adoring look on his face when he talks about you."

Just then Jason bounds back into the kitchen holding towels. "You ladies talking about me?"

"Mm, just telling Lucia how happy you make me." She puts her arms around his torso.

He glances in my direction and I nod.

His smile splits open and he scoops up Kelsey abandoning the towels.

"I'm not good with my words but maybe I could show you how happy you make me."

My eyes widen slightly in amusement.

And that's my cue.

"Thank you guys so much for having me over. This was so fun. It was nice to finally meet some new people here."

Kelsey turns her head, "you're leaving already?"

"Yea, I have to get home and help my mom with some stuff. We will hang out soon though, right?"

"Definitely, I'll see you at school as well, I'll come find you."

"See ya Rai." I call out as I leave the kitchen.

"Mhm, yea bye."

I let out a laugh at how infatuated he is with her. Like how he only has eyes for her. It's heart warming but also creates a sense of longing within me.

It's only 7 and I don't feel like going home since I'll just sit around and do nothing on the couch. I get into my car and head to a local diner I heard about.
