Jace

Alissa and Lana fiddle with the locks on the door.

Yes, I said locks plural.

15 to be exact.

And they've gotten through 5 within the last hour.

I sigh and rub my face. I've never been this hungry before, but it doesn't seem to be bothering Lana very much.
Alissa looks more comfortable than when we do eat.

It just makes me more curious as to what their stories are.

"Finally!" Alissa exclaims, and my head snaps up to them.

"We got the locks off and the door open." Lana explains.

I smile at them and get up, walking over to where the door is ajar behind them.

My eyes dart from the girls to the door in front of me as nervousness twists my gut.

"So should we..." I trail off.

Alissa snorts and pushes past me, Lana following close behind.

What the hell? I think, and follow them in.
