Daughter Of Firegirl

Chapter 1

Mum totally freaked out when she found out her little Angel had powers. I'm meant to be the calm and quiet one.

I'm usually like that But when I get angry, you'll regret it so I stopped going to the normal school and mum enrolled me in Rivera High. She went there, she literally spent her whole life there. I just sit around with my headphones and hoodie and do other stuff. Dad is always telling me to be serious with my powers. They don't even understand how I even got it. I guess I'm a special child then.
   Great aunt Sandra came to pick me up from home. She still looked very young and I'm not kidding. I put my suitcase in the car and hopped in. I put on my headphones and got lost in the world of music.

When we arrived at Rivera, we went straight to the classroom. WHY?? Great aunt Sandra is the principal. I met three kids who are; Cora, Alexandra and Jason. Now I wouldn't normally say this about a boy but Jason was hot and definitely my type. We were meant to be.

           Hi! I'm Brooklyn, I said with a huge smile on my face. Alexandra walked up to me.
              I'm Alexandra but call me Alex. Don't mess with me, she said. She looked like a bad chick and she hated me for sure.

           Don't hook up with Jason. He's mine, she whispered and walked away. Jason stared at me and I couldn't help but smile.
         What are your powers? Cora asked.
         I can control fire, I said.
      Do it, Alexandra said.
     Make me angry, I replied.
         Don't do it, Jason spoke up. He closed his eyes and I watched as he transformed into..... fireboy?

    He stepped towards me.
         Just think about your powers, he said and I did. He stood behind me and put his hands on my shoulder. When I opened my eyes, I had transformed. Cora stared at me in awe but Alexandra was just angry. I quickly pushed Jason away and because I couldn't become normal I stayed like that for the rest of the day. When I put on my headphones, I became normal. I found a quiet spot and stayed there to have peace. I really liked Jason and  Alexandra hated me. Jason is just like me. I felt a hand on mine and I looked up to see Jason.
            Hi! I said, I raised up my hoodie to cover my red cheeks.
             Don't be intimidated by Alexandra. She's just my overprotective older sister, he said.
I stared at him.
Was he serious?
     But she said you guys are dating, I said. He held my chin and stared at me.
         My heart was broken once. She won't let it happen again, he said. His hand was still on mine and I quickly moved it away. He planted a kiss on my cheek and walked away. I went to the dorm, lay on my bed and squealed into the pillow. He kissed me. Well it wasn't on my lips but whatever...He still kissed me. I knew He was my soul mate but all I had to do now was to confront Alexandra.
