I stared at mom in her dress, her hand still bandaged then at dad.
"Tell me about Jason and I ," I said to them. Mum stared at dad, avoiding my gaze. Dad sighed as I sat down.
.......Jason's parents were evil and before they died, his mom consulted the most powereful guardian to place a curse on him and you're part of it. That meteorite is just the first sign. Both of you will be the destruction of this planet that we call our home. No one knows how to break that curse but you better find a way because the next meteorite that's coming is not a piece of my home planet.....
I stared at dad, was he serious? Of course he is. I stared at mum who just aced her hands on her laps.
"Can I see the burns?" I asked referring to her hand. She slowly unwrapped it revealing her red hand with scars. I did this after I lost control. I closed my eyes trying to get the blue fire and it worked. I held moms hand. She winced as the fire came in contact with her wound but then it glowed before I released it. She stared in shock at her now healed hand.
"The power of Ethan," dad said. He stared at me.
"For the safety of others and yours. Never use that power again," dad ordered.
"Why?" I asked. Why was he acting like this all of a sudden?
"I have my reasons sweets. Just be a good girl and listen to your father," he said holding my cheek. I nod my head before leaving but I was angry. Why the hell were they leaving me in the dark?

I stared at the glowing meteorite. The lab was empty, I couldn't be weak. I had to fight that evil but what if I lost control and hurt the people I love. I had already hurt Brooklyn, twice. I was about to leave when I heard a voice call out to me.
"Jason! Don't go, it's your mother,"
I stared at the meteorite, a woman stood in front of it. She looked like the woman in the picture I was given when I was twelve. The photo of my parents.
"Mom!," I croaked. This couldn't be. She was dead just like dad.
"I'm here. Come closer. Touch it. Let it engulf you darling. Be good and listen to your mother. The only person that truly loves you," she said. I fell in a trance, walking towards it and then I felt a sudden surge of energy in my body and evil laughter then a voice. I stared at Brooklyn but I saw her differently. Ready to attack me.
"Fight! Don't let her or anyone else kill you," mum said. I listened and started firing at her. She yelled at me to stop but I couldn't. I held her hands as I burned her wrists. I used my other hand to grab her neck, squeezing. Tears filled her eyes, why couldn't I stop? I tried to speak but I felt a burn in my throat. I squeezed her wrists then I heard a crack. She fell to the ground crying in pain then I came back to normal. I stared at her, blood dripping from her nose. She was slipping away. I knelt beside her, the shock and tears overwhelming me.
"No! I'm sorry please don't die," I said. She only cried as I saw her closing her eyes slowly. Before she fell unconscious, she spoke the very words that I never wanted to hear from her sweet mouth. The words that would shatter my heart and tear me apart.
       "I don't know you anymore,"
