"Riki! Dude! It's only your second week you can't give up this easily" Jake tried convincing the said boy who was sprawled across his bed, eyes closed and still in his pajamas.

"Hyung!" Ni-ki whined "It's stressing me out, I don't wanna go back" Ni-ki cried, eyes still closed hoping to convince his roommate to let him quite his job.

Jake let out a long sigh and did the only thing that he knew would get his friend off the bed "You leave me with no other choice" Jake took a hold of Ni-ki's feet and dragged him out of the bed.

"Dude! Chill!" Ni-ki shouted until he landed on the floor with a loud thump "You're the fucking worst" he glared up at Jake rubbing his now aching back.

" Having a job at a pet store is not a stressful job" Jake pointed out throwing on a shirt over his head.

Ni-ki got up and pulled some sweats and a hoodie out from his stash of clothes in the corner of the room "Try having to see snakes and spiders everyday" Ni-ki shivered at sights of his biggest fears.

"Snakes?! and spiders?! Those aren't pets!" Jake said in confusion spraying on some of Ni-ki's cologne.

"Try telling my boss that and get your own things" Ni-ki took his cologne from Jake's hand.

"Well someone should've studied in college instead of chasing after a certain someone" Jake teased grabbing his bag receiving a deadly glare from his roommate.

"Ciao gotta go before my boss fires me"

"Take me with you" the younger groaned wanting nothing better than to go to work with his hyung rather than going to a shithole pet store.

"Too late see you. Oh and we'll eat out tonight!" and Jake left the younger alone in a messy apartment that the both shared and paid for. It's not top star but it can work...well they make it work.

Ni-ki tries to think positive about his job. He gets excited to see the fluffy dogs but they usually bark when they see him. The cats are so cute but they always reach out to scratch Ni-ki whenever he gets close. The hamsters just ignore him and the bunnies also. Snakes and spiders he never dare get close to one. The slithery skin and weird shape traumatized the 20 year old.

"Another day another time seeing people buying weird animals as pets" Ni-ki mumbled to himself after deciding to skip breakfast and head to work.

It was only 7:45 and who wanted to take a taxi to work? Definitely not Ni-ki instead he decided to walk since the pet store was not far from where he lived.

HYBE Pet Store was well known in the city for having the most exquisite and very odd pets.

Ni-ki honestly can't remember how he landed a job but he's damn well grateful...sort of. Let's just say a pet store is not an ideal place to work.

"Ni-ki! Finally you're here!" a female voice boomed across the shop causing Ni-ki to let out a sigh.

"Gen it's 8 in the morning why you gotta be so loud?"

"Ni-ki it's 8 in the morning why you gotta be such a mood killer" the girl lowered her voice imitating that of the younger.

Ni-ki simply rolled his eyes ignoring the weird behaviour of his coworker. "Why are you even here this early?"

"If I'm not would you show up to unlock the store?" Gen pursed her lips waiting for an expected answer.

"No..." the younger mumbled giving Gen her awaiting answer then going to put on his uniform a cap and shirt.

Gen turned on her heels watching Ni-ki go into the staff's room. When the said boy was fully dressed he walked out to be met with none other than Gen smiling from ear to ear.
