Chapter 9

Peaceful.

That's what I noticed since I somehow regained my consciousness. I haven't felt like this like ever. I have been awake for 2 hours now and for that time Luke didn't leave my side.

I admit it's kinda sweet but it is also irritating. I know it's already night time, because the moment I gained consciousness I mind link Dom. He explained that what I experienced is an effect of the 'white lies' potion plus my lack of blood. You see, I always drink blood more than a normal vampire so only drinking blood once is not sufficient for me. And it greatly affects me, if only we are not in a werewolf territory I can feed as much as I can. Sigh, oh well. I guess I have to start acting if I want to get out of this hellhole.

I slowly opened my eyes, like those human who just woken up. Then I softly move my hand, which Luke is holding, making him look at me right away.

I can see relief and happiness in his eyes.

"What...happened?" I asked, acting weak and that my throat was 'dry'.

He suddenly grabbed a glass filled with water and helped me drink it. After I have some water, he placed it back to the table and held my hand again.

"You passed out in the supermarket." he gently said.

I mentally rolled my eyes at him. Way to go to state the apparent, Captain Obvious. I bit back my sarcastic remark and instead asked something else.

"Why?" I asked, feigning confusion.

He unconsciously drew circles on my hand with his thumb. I hate to admit it but it actually soothes me.

"The doctor said you're blood pressure is low and that you're anemic. And because of the heat earlier your body couldn't take it and you passed out." he explained softly.

So that's what their 'doctor' said. Well it is true that I lack blood. Hahaha.

"Oh." I said. "How long was I out?" Even though I know, but it's gonna be weird if I don't ask right?

"About...12hours..." he said like it pained him.

"Are you okay?" I asked feigning worried--Okay! Maybe half feigning worried.
