Chapter 12

“Home run!!!!!!” bellowed the emcee of the game.

Everyone from our school cheered like there’s no tomorrow. Even Vincent stand up and cheers like the rest of them. I’m glad I blocked my heightened senses before we went here. I might become deaf because of all the noise. Anyway, back in the game, our team is on the lead with 12:6 score. Pfft! Werewolves DO are great in the game of play catch. Especially Luke and that guy, who is apparently the clutch of the team name Nemo. Can you believe it? Nemo, the clown fish! Hahahaha! Back to what I was saying, he’s the clutch. Clutch is the player who made those key moments in the game. In short he’s like the ace player, I guess. I’m not sure. I am not a baseball fan and this is my first time watching a full game. The one who told me what was happening is none other than Vincent, he just arrived from the mission Dom made him do.

Keith and I are not still in talking terms though. He’s still hurt and is giving me the silent treatments. Hence, I am always with Vincent these past few days. When we’re together, the three of us I mean, the tension is so thick that you slice it.

“The Elite Knights of Pandemonium High School WINS!!!!!” shouted, excitedly if I say so myself, by the emcee.

And my schoolmates cheer multiplies by a hundred. So to blend in, I also stand up and clap my hands and shout ‘excitedly’. I saw Luke glanced my way and our eyes met. He winked at me. I just rolled my eyes at him. Geez, he’s such a flirt. I wonder why I even felt what I felt when he went to our house the other day. Weird. Maybe it’s because I was really weak that time. Oh well, I shrugged my shoulders.

We left the ball park and went to the parking lot. Vincent insisted that it is not called ‘baseball field’, instead it’s ‘Ball Park’. Sigh. He and baseball is so inseparable.  Seriously, when I say the wrong thing, he would go all crazy maniacs on me.

“Aria!” I know that voice very well.

I look at where the voice came from and saw Luke jogging towards me with David not far from him. I met David earlier before the game started. Luke introduced him to me. I know about him way before through my sneaking around their pack. He’s the beta of Luke.

“Hey.” Luke said, sounded breathless from running towards me after a game.

“Oh. Uhm. Hey to you too?”  I responded, awkwardly. Pfft! Me? Awkward? Oh please. I am only like that when I was still human, but not anymore. 200 years can do a lot of changes to a girl, especially when she’s around blood suckers and a lot of things that is left in your imagination.
