Quarantine, Cara had decided, was the worst thing to happen to her.

Unless, of course, your best friend and his adopted son are stuck in quarantine with you.

Yes, friend. Cara reminded herself with a inward dejected sigh.

On the day she, Mando- well, Din and the Kid arrive on some planet called Zohdok to restock supplies, some other travelling idiot coincidentally caught an infectious virus.

And now they are stuck on the Razor Crest for two weeks.

At least they were able to restock first.

So here Cara was, sitting in the Razor Crest, watching Din try to keep the Child from destroying the whole ship. It was only the first day, but all of them were getting restless.

Both of them had long since taken off their armour, wearing comfortable clothes instead.

As the Child ran past her, she reached down and scooped him up in her arms. Din stopped in front of her, panting. "Thanks. He's getting restless." he said. "You just noticed?" She replied jokingly.

He took the Child from her and put him into his floating pram, but leaving it open. He pulled up a chair and sat opposite her.

"Hungry?" Cara asked, leaning back and snatching a bag of dried berries they had acquired from the market from the counter.

Din nodded, opening the packet and taking a couple berries in his hand before lifting the helmet slightly to eat them.

Unlike some of his other guests he had on his ship, Cara doesn't stare and try to look under the helmet, which he appreciates.

"What do we do with ourselves for the rest of the week and a half?" She sighs, also grabbing a handful of berries.

Still chewing, Din shrugs and tosses a berry to the Kid, who coos and catches it before swallowing the entire thing.

Cara stares at Din, before turning her eyes to the Child.

"What?" He questions, following her gaze to the Child.

"Did he just... swallow that whole?" She worriedly answers.

"Yeah, I mean, he eats frogs whole, so it's fine... I think." Din replies. "Did I tell you about that one time I had a frog lady with her eggs in here, and he single-handedly swallowed more than 5 whole! They were nearly the size of his head!" He chuckled.

Cara couldn't remember a time when he was so talkative. Maybe he liked talking about the Child.

"Really? How big is his mouth?" She replied, surprised.

As in response, the Child cooed loudly and opened his small mouth wide.

They sat in comfortable silence, occasionally eating some berries and throwing a few to the Child.

"I'm gonna check what time it is." Cara said, getting up and climbing to the cockpit. It was already pretty dark, and Zohdok's two moons were already high in the sky.

She stood there for a bit, admiring the scene, before climbing back down.

"The moons are high up. Its probably around 9-10pm." She returned to her seat at the table.

Din sighed. Why the kriff was he sighing so much these days?

"I'm going hit the sack. You take the bunk, I'll sleep in the cockpit." He got up and started to make his way to the cockpit.

"Wait!" Cara called. She cringed at how loud her voice had been. "It's okay, you can take the bunk. I'll sleep in the cockpit." She crossed her arms, trying to appear stubborn.

Din sighed again.

"No, take the bunk. I'll be fine."

"Nope. Not happening. Now get in the bunk before I shove you in there!" She replied.

"Cara I-" Din tried to speak, before being cut-off.

Cara yanked him over to the bunk, shoving him in.

"There. Not so hard! Go to sleep-" It was Cara's turn to get cut-off as Din caught her by the arm and pulled her down with him, so both of them were squished together on the small mattress.

Cara could feel her cheeks heating up at the new position, so she turned around and buried her face into the pillow.

Well, Din's chest was a good pillow, anyway.

Din let out a chuckle. "Guess we are sleeping here then." He mused.

He grabbed a piece of his armour, bringing the Child's pram over and briefly sitting up to put him in the hammock above.

Cara was already half asleep, and had put a leg over Din's. She heard the lights clicking off, and Din taking his helmet off and putting it in the floor.

"You can't see me in the dark, can you?" He asks.

"No." Cara mumbled sleepily.

He put an arm over her, bringing her closer to him.

She thinks she is dreaming when she feels the blanket being thrown over her, and Din's face burying itself into her hair.

Maybe quarantine isn't so bad after all.

A/N: I gotta admit, that sucked.
