At first, nothing happened, I thought there might be something wrong and I could feel my eyes sting with unshed tears. I was flooded with relief, but also panic, frustration and anger. Such immense rage that I completely lost control myself. The wind around me became stronger, the ground beneath my feet cracked, my eyes seemed to shed rivers of tears and I could feel a heat inside my body begin to build.
It struck me that the pill had worked, that I was once again able to control the elements, but my fury didn't cease, if anything it increased. My eyes were no longer shedding tears, but the tears were now circling my wrists, as if being stored. I realised that the ground was rising, lifting me up.
The ground came to a standstill but the wind took over, lifting me a bit into the air. The heat inside me was excruciating and I knew that I couldn't control it, my body was no longer mine. My arms stretched out as if to embrace the wind and I bent impossibly far backwards. I was now facing the darkened sky and heard a scream of complete agony and outrage, before realising it was mine. My contorted body continued to verbalise it's pain, the fire rampaging through my veins.I fell to my knees, but seemed to hit a soft carpet of air, as I stayed airborne, unable to do anything but scream and writhe in pain.
I was still leaning back when my hands clawed at the air and, suddenly, I was back in control of my body. I stood slowly, gasping for breath and was bombarded with winds as they surrounded me, lifting me up, up, up. I spun and twirled in the air laughing breathlessly, feeling more free than I ever had before. I was brought back by Loki yelling my name, distress clear in his voice, so I dropped onto the ground and the road split open before me, gulping up anything in it's path. I could feel all eyes on me- the beady gazes of the beastly creatures, the awe-filled gazes of the children, Thor's shocked stare and Loki's eyes, proud and jubilant, though the shadows of the pain lingered there from seeing me transform not so gracefully back into my full self.
I glanced down to see myself wearing a dress of armour. The armour around my chest was gold with the moss green dress beneath it, a short skirt exposing my bare upper legs. I was again wearing heeled boots, reaching just above my knees. The boots were black and had heels thick enough to not break easily, but still be useful as weapons. I realised my outfit was based on Loki's and that we were matching, I even had a mini cape that reached my knees. I felt more powerful than ever before, feeling it course through my veins.
I took a few steps forward. The repulsive things had frozen but they suddenly burst out into a frenzy and hurtled toward me. They honestly were quite brainless, as many of them fell into the gap still in the ground. I had forgotten about my rage and pain, but it all came back full force, though I channeled it this time. I let my wrath take over as the flames leapt from my fingertips and scorched everything in their path. My feet lifted from the ground again and I was sending my wrath down onto the demonic beings like an avenging angel. Grabbing Loki, I told Thor to move the teenagers, that were probably wondering what had happened to this girl that had looked so harmless, and had Loki grab one of the closer people. Once everyone was separate from the abominations, I returned to them, about to end all their lives quickly and mercifully, when I heard a scream that stopped me dead in my tracks and made my blood run cold.
