"You may roam around the castle and explore. Careful not to go in rooms that are restricted."
"You serious? How am I supposed to know that? This is literally my second day here."
"Well then do what suits you best. I have to train." I walked away from him. Was that mean? I mean... compared to how I talk to others, I think that was my best attitude. I am really trying. After all, we are friends.
"Why are you following me?"
"I'm a little curious about your swordsmanship. Am I not allowed to watch?" Venti asked with innocent face. It was quite irritating. I hate innocence so much. "It's not forbidden, but it's not fun."
"If it's allowed, then let's go now!"
He's stubborn. Just like me, but I can't even keep up with him. Have I finally found the one who's worst than me? Even so, he really had charm—must be why I couldn't say no to him at all.
"Alatus!" My face turned sour after hearing Beidou's voice. It was making my ears bleed. Everyday I had to hear her sly voice. God. "Isn't she supposed to be with Ningguang right now?"
"Oh. Right. Well, she hasn't showed up yet."
"Right timing, she'd be here later. Venti could wait for her here." I nodded. "Where's your sword? Don't tell me you plan to fight me with your fist?" She smirked, and my day was already ruined.
"How I wish I could get rid of that lips so you'd shut up. Venti, could you get my sword? It's inside my closet. The maid's can guide you there."
I didn't really trust the maids to go through my closet, so I asked him instead. Which makes me wonder... why I trust someone I barely knew instead of the people who worked for us all their lives.
I was given a wooden sword so the training could start immediately as Venti takes my actual sword.
"So, have you changed your mind about the thief yet?" Beidou asked as she aimed to cut my head with her sword—I dodged by bowing my head, piercing my sword in her waist, which unfortunately, she dodged. Don't get me wrong, I had no intentions of killing my sister. But considering how annoying she was, I might as well just wish to get my revenge through her trainings.
"She's a princess now, I ask you to address her as one."
"Is she even worthy of becoming one? She doesn't have any royal blood. She's a thief, and an outsider of this country." She smirked, hitting my knees with the hilt of her sword, making me fall on the ground. "Fuck you, Beidou!"
"You have to work on being nice sometimes, brother! You know, as the King, our father was really strong—just like you. But you had one difference with him. He was kind to his people, which you can't seem to do."
I rolled my eyes as I try to get back up. "Being nice is a weakness I can't have. It's a waste of time. Strength is my priority."
"But isn't letting a criminal inside the castle roam freely and even giving a position already creates a weakness for you?"
"You're seriously pissing me off today, sister."
"When have I not?" She stopped moving only to tilt her head and look at the sky as if she was confused. She's so annoying!
"Put your guard up! I'm not weak, you know!?" I screamed before standing up, aiming to hit her with my wooden sword. "But what could your wooden sword possibly do?"
