It was a Saturday night, and Y/N was sitting on her couch watching Shameless. Dressed in her track pants and jumpers, and pigging out on a bag of chips.
But her tv watching was disturbed, when a knock was heard on her front door. Groaning loudly, she stomped her way to the door and opened it.
"Hey girlie" her best friend, Winter chirped.
"Hey Win. What are you doing? You're interrupting my lazy night" Y/N pouted, causing her best friend to laugh and walk into the apartment.
"Well best friend of mine. I have a blind date sorted for you" this made Y/N's eyes to widen and for her to choke on air.
"Fucking what! Winter are you serious?!" She exclaimed.
"Calm down okay. You need to get out more, find yourself a man" the girl explained dramatically.
"No i-" but Y/N was cut off.
"I'm not taking no for an answer. Now go get dressed into something nice, off you go" Winter said, pushing her best friend towards her room.

After Y/N had finished getting ready, she walked out to see Winter waiting on her.
After Winter spent the whole car ride gushing over Y/N's outfit, they finally arrived at the restaurant. Y/N met her date, his name was Jamie. He seemed to be a nice guy at first, but that changed as the date went on.
"Anyway, I bought this massive boat. It costed me like, $150,000 but it was totally worth it. I'm actually planning on buying a private jet next" he went on, but Y/N wasn't listening.
What she didn't know, was that there was another person in the restaurant who was suffering just as much as she was. The man noticed how Y/N looked bored as hell.
Y/N sighed heavily, as she watched her date walk to the bathroom. This was her opportunity to move herself to the bar, for a much needed drink.
"Double whiskey on the rocks please" the woman mumbled to the bartender, who looked at her in sympathy. Once she got her drink, she took a mouth full of the alcohol.
"Looks likes you needed that?" A voice was heard, making Y/N turn to see a very handsome man, who had shoulder length brown waves and beautiful blue eyes.
"Oh you have no idea" Y/N groaned, making the man laugh slightly as he took a seat next to the woman.
"I have a slight idea. I saw how bored you looked with your date, I was having the same problem" the brunette explained, taking a sip of his drink.
"I'm sorry to hear that. My name's Y/N, by the way" she said, outstretching her hand for him to take.
"Not your fault, my friend set me up on a blind date. My name's Cody" as the two shook hands, their gazes didn't falter.
"If you'd like, we could get out of here and find a cafe or something?" Cody suggested.
"That sounds great" Y/N smiled at the man, who smiled brightly in return.
"It's a date. Shall we?" He asked, giving the girl his arm, who then hooked her arm through his.
