She looks like a zombie roaming around the hospital.

I'm supposed to be in an OR, learning how to operate instead I'm stuck here for weeks.

She reached the ER and saw that there were little to no patients. "Why does the ER look like a ghost town whenever you're in here?" a man's voice said. Carson gave him a fake smile.

"This hospital sucked the life out of me" she replied.

"But...the hospital is my life. Surgery is my life and instead of being with MY LIFE, I'm here in the ER stitching up patients and cleaning mild bruises and cuts. I've been suturing all day, my hands hurt."

"What is it with the ER? Ever since we started here, no big trauma came in" she frowned and crossed her arms. "At least you don't have to deal with the lab guy. He doesn't like me. He's always mean and grumpy" Axl commented.

"Who? Ryan?" Axl nodded that made Carson confused. 'What? Really? But he's so nice to me" Carson told him. "I think he likes me" she jokingly said.

She laughed

"Hey, come on laugh with me" he seemed to be not amused. Axl looked at her calmly, her smile faded.

"What's with that look?" she asked even though she knows what he was about to say.

"Carson—

He took a deep breath

"HELP!!!" suddenly a man barged into the ER doors. Axl and Carson ran towards him.

"Sir, Are you alright?" Axl asked him

The scene was no new to them considering they both have parents who are doctors. They see people come to the hospital bleeding, but this time it's different. It was their turn to save lives. They watched their parents as doctors, now they are the doctors.

Both of them felt the adrenaline they longed for since they stepped in Grey-Sloan.

"A WOMAN, SHE'S HURT. I SAW HER ON THE STREETS. PLEASE. PLEASE HELP HER. PLEASE SHE'S PREGNANT" the man said.

All of them ran towards the man car, there they saw woman bathing in her own blood. "Gurney!!!" someone shouted.

Carson quickly checked the woman's pulse. She looked at Axl. "She barely has a pulse" she said.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THIS POOR LADY

"Is she gonna be okay?" the man asked. "We won't know until we get her inside." Axl answered. "Sir you're bleeding, we need to get you checked out"

"NO, it's not my blood. It's hers" the man shouted. The nurses carefully put the woman in the gurney, rushed her inside.

Axl and Carson looked at each other with their brows meeting.

"Trauma one" Carson directed. Nurses huddle up the patient. Carson performed the ABCs. "No breathe sounds on the right lung, we need a chest tube please" the nurses looked at her worriedly.

"Are you sure? Don't you need an attending?" they asked. Carson was astounded by what she heard as if she was not capable of putting in a chest tube.

"I don't see any attending in here. If we wait, this woman may die. NOW, GET ME THE DAMN CHEST TUBE. please" she demanded.

"Axl, the baby" he checked the baby for a heartbeat. "I can't find anything. Does this thing work?"

"Everybody quiet" Carson calmed down.

*Heartbeat sounds*

"Got it, we need OB" he asked. "Can anyone page an attending? Anyone? Any attending. Anyone at all." He requested. "She looks like she's been hit hard" he added
