FRIEND OR FOE

When the elevator door opened. Carson saw Axl across the halls. She ran towards him and hugs him tight. They released from the hug. "I'm sorry" Carson said. "No, it's fine"

Then suddenly they get closer and closer

Their nose touch, they can feel each other's breathe.

And

Suddenly Carson moved away, Axl was confused. "I'm-I'm sorry" She took a deep breath and walked away.

Axl felt he was stabbed by a knife in the chest. He was dumbfounded. The overflowing emotions came to him. The combination of exhaustion and rejection. He felt it.

He sat down and contemplated with what happened. He knew he couldn't face Carson. He sat down the bench and buried himself in his thoughts.

"Hey, nice job back there! You're very first surgery, not only that you did it with Meredith Grey and Amelia Shepherd!!!"

"They're freaking legends!" Maya came out of nowhere. Axl was too deep in his thoughts and didn't even pay attention to Maya. "Hey, you okay?" She tapped his shoulders. "What?"

UNBELIEVABLE...

"You get out here. You need to rest. Go" Maya said to him. He stood up and walked away.

Meanwhile...

Carson walked away completely confused. "GOD, what's happening" she tried to calm herself.

No...I am not doing this, not again. One awesome surgery equals to Meredith Grey and Axl Kane problems. That is not fair.

I hate her but I admire her, she is so good with what she's doing. It's like she's born for it. I don't hate her that much, I guess. It's weird and uncomfortable, her being nice to me and all.

She sighed

And we have one more, Axl. We cannot do him. Remember everything you've been through Carson. Remember...

She started to tear up and stared in through the racks. She went inside the supply closet for some piece and quiet.

Memories started flashing...

She started sobbing...

"I'll be back sweetie, I love you"

"I'll see you again Peanut"

"I'll never leave you. I'll be here"

"We are gonna go to med school together"

She stared to sob and smirked.

LIARS

"ALL OF YOU FUCKING LIED! YOU LEFT ME! All of you—all of you left me"

She started to throw beddings on the floor. Suddenly Gabbi walked in and saw her. She looked at her. "I'll clean it up" she said looking down on the floor.

"Clean up what? I don't see anything. I didn't even see you here" Carson smiled

"Thank you" Gabbi left the room.

She was in there for almost an hour. She walked outside with her eyes swollen and her nose red.

She puffed some air and continued to walk.

I'm want to go home

I want to sleep

"Hey" Maya came up to her until she noticed. "Oh, what happened to you?"

"Are you okay?" she asked. "Yeah, I'm fine" Carson replied shortly. "You sure? Wanna head to Joe's?" she asked.

"I'm too tired"
