You had to hurry. Derek, your boyfriend of 5 months, would be home soon and you wanted to surprise him. It was your anniversary and you had cooked his favourite meal. He had been stressed out a lot lately and now you thought it was time for him to relax a bit, so you had turned his loft into a cuddly area where you could enjoy your dinner and watch movies afterwards.
You had just put the food on the table when you heard the door open. Quickly, you fixed your hair and clothes and turned around.
"Surprise!" you called out happily.
Derek stood in the doorframe completely stunned.
"What-?" he asked smiling.
"Well, I noticed you were a bit stressed the last few days. So I thought, for our anniversary, I would do something special." you explained.
Suddenly his face dropped.
"Our anniversary?" he asked shocked.
"Oh no! I'm so sorry." he apologized. "I forgot-"
"It's fine. I understand." you interrupted him, coming closer and grabbing his hand.
"Really?" he asked looking in your eyes.
"Really." you assured him smiling.
"Now come on. I made your favourite." you squeezed his hand and dragged him to the little table you had set up.
Suddenly Derek brought you to his chest.
"I love you so much, y/n y/l/n." he said softly, looking deep into your eyes.
"I love you too, Derek Hale." you replied.
At once Derek closed the gap between your lips in a passionate kiss.
