him having a nightmare
You were sleeping when you suddenly felt something move beside you. You jolted up but soon realised it was only Isaac beside you.
He must have snuck in through the window.
He did that, when living in the same house like his father became unbearable. Sadly that was often the case, so you weren't surprised anymore.
Normally you would just go to sleep again but this time you noticed something was off. He was breathing really fast and rolled over in the bed.
You tried to shake him so he would wake up.
"Isaac." you said in a low voice.
No reaction.
You shook him a little harder when suddenly he sat up straight in bed. His eyes were wide in fear and he looked around frantically.
"Y/n?" he asked tears starting to form in his eyes.
"I'm here. Are you ok?" you asked softly.
He shook his head and you went to hug him.
As you embraced him he started crying and said:
"I dreamt about you and my father."
"It's okay now." you cooed kissing his forehead to calm him.
"He was hurting you and I couldn't do anything." he said sobbing.
"It wasn't real, baby." you continued.
You stroked his hair and after a while stopped crying.
"I'm sorry." he apologised.
You frowned and gave him a questioning look.
"For waking you up with this." he said looking guilty.
"I just want you to be okay." you whispered and looked him deep in the eyes.
After a while you connected your lips and he hummed into the kiss.
"I'm so tired" he said yawning.
"Well let's go to sleep then." you giggled.
You both got under the blanket and you fell asleep spooning.
